To think that Ep 33 was the only episode that We've seen our leads fighting evil together standing side by side, both having spirit fires inside their body and having the power above all.....I was totally in love with that scene and then,CGI was so bad that i had to look away from the screen. Chen feiyu and wang yinglu truly carried the show on their back.Their chemistry was everything...Storyline was very much captivating in the 1st arc (wish 2nd & 3rd arc also had that much depth) ,& Upto the first half of 2nd arc,You'll not find a single plot hole or flaw upto Ep 24...but after that, All i have to say it the plotline could've been handled better so that it'd be more convincing for the watchers to believe what is happening in the story... but then,i have no complaints bcz it was enjoyable till the end... Acting - 10/10 Story - 1st arc-10/10,2nd arc-8/10, 3rd arc-9/10.... Music-10/10 (Ost & Bgm, all were very good) CGI- 7/10 (categorizing it bcz It's really important for xianxia genre) (7 only bcz the otter was worth it,otherwise it'd be 5 or 6/10 at most) Costumes - 9.5/10 (Loved Almost All outfits of Tingyan and Sima Jiao,it was really eye candy, other immortal or demon's outfits were also not bad) [for last couple of years cdramas usually make ML & FL's makeup too heavy with whitewashed face and dark red lipsticks, it was good to see comparatively lighter makeup in chen feiyu & wang ying lu, pretty nice to watch on screen]
I'm on episode 6 right now, trying to keep going. I skipping certain scenes to get on with it faster... I have a strange feeling that this drama will get better near the end of first half.
