What a Wonderful Drama!
There have been so many disappointing dramas lately, that start off fairly good, but then go down the drain due to poor screenwriting, directing and storyline, but this is not one of those. Kudos to the screenwriters, Director, and the exceptional ensemble cast for creating such a beautiful, heartwarming story! It may first appear to be a very simple story, but as it unfolds, you can enjoy the richness of the characters of this community.
We get to know the characters in a very natural, flowing way, which made me care about each and every one of them.
The scenery and cinematography are travelog worthy and had me checking the map several times as I planned a potential trip to the area in the future. Cultural traditions are honored and presented in a way that we can appreciate all that is involved in preserving a cultural heritage.
The rhythm of life that is portrayed in the drama, affected my daily rhythm in a positive, healing way, and I actually slept better while watching this drama.
The characters are a delight, from the youngest children to the oldest grannies, and of course our main young couple, whose romance was beautifully developed.
I generally do not rewatch dramas, but I will be rewatching this one. Rewatching it will be like going to visit some dear friends. I wish they were planning a season 2, but I have not heard anything about that.
This is a beautiful drama, and I highly recommend it!

Typical Hong Sister's script problems
Although this drama has entertainment value and good actors in the roles, the Hong Sisters script is full of plot holes as usual. About Avery 15 min, I stop and say ' wait, that doesn't make sense". Yes, I understand it is a fantasy world, but fantasy's still need to make sense within the context of that fantasy. I think viewers willing suspend disbelief and brush aside these plot inconstancies and frankly dumb moments because of the entertaining pace of the story and likable characters. It could have been entertaining and well thought out if they had just thought the storyline through in detail. The Hong Sisters don't bother to do that, because they have a large fan base that is willing to go will the sloppy flow, so they don't make the effort. This could have been much better than it was.Was this review helpful to you?
Wow! One of the best Historical dramas and Time Traveling dramas ever!
I was blown away by this drama! The screenwriter was masterful - something so rare these days given the plethora of really stupid scripts and storylines. This 14 episode drama was more powerful in its story than most 40-50 episode dramas. It was so well done!I hope this drama and all that were involved with its making and acting get the awards they deserve.
The characters were wonderfully developed and the layers of their complexity were masterfully revealed. Even the last scene with the Prime Minister caught me by surprise. The reverse timeline had me confused sometimes, but it only lasted for a minute, because things became clear as the scene progressed- again, kudos to the writers for doing that so well.
This is one of the best Historical dramas and Time traveling dramas that I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot of them. This is a great one.

A Wonderful, Inspiring Story with wonderful characters!
This is a wonderful, inspiring story with wonderful characters! The negative reviews are so off the mark - it seems people are disappointed in the romance aspect of the drama, and that is like saying an Apple is bad because it isn't an Orange. This is a story about dreams, hope, aspirations and second chances in life, and the strength of camaraderie. There is the undercurrent of love in the story that is very well done, in my opinion. It is love that grows through the strength that forms through trials and tribulations - the love of family, and friends, as well as romantic partners in life. The actors did a really good job, and the script was well done also.
This is a hidden Gem. I highly recommend this drama.

Loved it!
I loved this drama! I loved the storyline of the fashion industry as well as the core of the four friends that are the heart of this series! It showed the evolution of the friends from dreamers to people who are at the top of their professions. I loved each of the characters and all that they went through individually and together. This was a real delight to watch! I tend not to rewatch dramas, so that is why that category wasn't higher, but it was enjoyable enough that I could do so. I am really glad I watched this! It was uplifting! Was this review helpful to you?
Lead actress is the only good thing about this series.
All the stars that I gave this rating is due to Lee Da Hae. She does another great job in her role in this drama, The male lead is a terrible actor - his eyes are lifeless, totally lifeless, and the actress playing the role of his first love and the stylist is absolutely cringeworthy. Those two inept actors have totally ruined this drama for me. Lee Da Hae deserves much better costars than those two. Story/ script was ok, with a pretty lousy character for the main lead...truly a narcissist and add that to an actor with NO depth and lifeless eyes, is just a disaster.Again, the only reason there are any stars in this review is due to Lee Da Hae.

An excellent Drama!
I was surprised to see negative reviews about this drama, and I believe they are mainly from young women who have never been married or haven't had anyone close to them get divorced. The FL character was reprimanded in these reviews for being a pushover etc. but her character is that of a good person. People often mistake kindness for weakness. The FL actually proved to be a very strong character, who ended up creating a fulfilling life. The ML was played by an excellent actor - he played out his character so well. He was more often despicable, but the actor managed to make him Human and understandable even though he was despicable. The cast was outstanding! The Mother and Mother-in-Law are amazing veteran actresses and they were wonderful in their roles. I loved the whole storyline. I'm a Doctor and it was refreshing to watch a Medical based drama that focused on the personal lives of the Doctors and their families. Their lives were messy and complicated. just like life can be messy and complicated. Kudos to the screenwriters for writing such a rich drama. They created good character development and showed a lovely view of being Human, with strengths and weaknesses that made the characters who they are. . This is an excellent drama!
