I agree...this is evident even in thriller dramas where people still want to force romance. This is like you said the fault of the writers as they create romantic tension even in situations that don't call for it. This is the standard that they have created, so I understand why when people see the young male lead and young female lead, they automatically jump to a relationship between the two.

Exactly.... even if she likes him that doesn't mean he will like her back especially knowing it's his daughter. It's like common sense does not exist to some drama watchers, particularly those that don't care about the plot and just romance.

Yeah, that's what I got from your comments which is totally fine. Plot wise Mundo will be defeated, so I don't think there is anything to worry about when it comes to that. I also think seo ri is the original seo ri and not actually Dan shim, so I think in that aspect they will also have a happy ending.

And Mundo wouldn't have gotten that powerful position if ml acted earlier. I just can't imagine the cha se gye of the first few episodes, the one that acquired that other company through his witty means, suddenly losing in this way, while knowing what Mundo has done and the lengths he has gone. It's very illogical. I don't want you to get me wrong and think I hate this drama. I still like it and I will watch the last two episodes, but I think it's very important to like drama but still acknowledge where it went wrong. Same with perfect crown I loved it but I acknowledge that it wasn't a perfect drama. I think what you are doing is making assumptions for what you think the ml will do and I am talking about what the ml hasn't done and the inconsistency with his character.

Basically, him winning will not be earned to me because he is so different from how he handled business in the first few episodes to now losing his business and being pinned for murder. How am I supposed to believe he has this grand plan after seeing him fumble like that in front of the villain. Legit begging him to not demolish the grandmother's business.

Of course he will win, he is the ml, but that's the problem, right. I mean the plot will make him win after he took so many losses because he is the ml.

That's the thing, right. I enjoyed their relationship and the character of the fl and now that the drama has taken such a turn I can actually see how weak the drama when you take away their love story. I mean even the initial reason why they had a partnership was being she saved him and based on that I thought the drama would take that route. Now, she doesn't even have danger senses and I know some people are saying that she adapted to the modern world that's why she lost it, but that is something that the writers should have clearly stated. Like, a scene where she realizes she lost that sixth sense.

I get what you mean, but you have to also acknowledge that it is a romance drama that has introduced complex plot lines. No one has a problem with them becoming soft with each other, but outside of that they are people with responsibilities and the things that the villain is doing has real consequences. Their love did not stop the female lead from getting in an accident, or being poisoned so is it really that wrong for us as viewers to want to see those complex characters deal with these complex situations. I would've agreed with you had the drama been sold as a healing drama but that's not what it was sold as.

If you see the tags for the drama there is no romance, so I don't know why you are asking or hoping for it when there is none. I think one thing we also have to realise is that just because the fl in this drama or any drama has a crush on the ml that there has to be romance. Crushes exist without dating the person or am I being illogical?

Me too!! along with the fact that they are getting along well. I don't like when couples start bickering and act immature. I love how mature they are🩷

I just don't think the ratings should be that big of a deal, especially from mdl where people will rate a really good drama 5 for simply having a sad ending. If you genuinely enjoy the drama, just focus on watching it. There are still many episodes left, the drama will increase in ratings if the people still watching find it good. I personally don't even rate dramas until I am done.

I agree wholeheartedly. One and only is one of my favorite dramas because of how deep their love for each other was, despite the ending. I like dramas that can make me feel. That's why I have no issues with sad endings, and I prefer them sometimes.

A hundred percent... she is definitely controlling him and he fell for it easily. We can also see for the next episodes previews that he is still around her.

That makes so much sense. The shift was too sudden like you said. I cant believe he stopped being that suspicious so fast. If it is like you say, i would like that because we dont really get female characters like her. I am excited to see how it unfolds. I got so uncomfortable during their date because they acted all lovey dovey🫢

Exactly... I wouldnt mind such a plot twist. It is crazy how fast he moved from accusing her to pitying her. Its like everytime they meet, i expect them to argue but its just weird how they had dinner like normal people. I think the fl has something up her sleeve and she is kinda pretending with him.

I am just finding it hard to accept the way their relationship is blossoming or even the theory that he liked her from the start seeing as how he harassed her so much. Its probably due to bad writing because we didnt get to see his perspective enough to where it outweighed the torment the fl went through due to his intrusive methods. Dont get me wrong i am not against their relationship, i just have a hard time cheering for it. In fact, everything else in the show is amazing and has me looking forward to new episodes.
