I agree that a part of female population who has gone through similar experience would either be enraged and help or traumatized and won't help or think of it as normal but majority wouldn't care about it. Act of violence is just wrong towards any gender but it's undeniable that since both suffer some kind of violence in their life so they both understand that pain.
I'm simply saying that person who can sympathise more will help and gender is irrelevant in this situation.

Where homicide cases for men are around 1020 deaths per day but merely 14-15% deaths are caused by family members but I think very small fraction of it are caused by intimate partner.
