I just finished the show and had to say how much I HATED the ending and how mad I am.
The plot of the lakorn is already weak so I know I am watching for the FL and ML chemistry. So at least give me a good ending with them!!! In the last 2 episodes it's one stupid misunderstanding after the other with a TERRIBLE/choppy/last minute ending.
FL did not deserve the ML who frankly should have given up on her. She made a whole revenge plan but then wanted to forgive everyone. Instead the one person whose life she made hell was ML. She did whatever she wanted without caring about HIS feelings. Ruined such good chemistry with that ending.

A few of the inconsistencies I noticed are:
Great points. I did sort of stop looking for logic after a while and just rolled my eyes LOLOL. I was like, let ML live and end up with FL, I don't care about anything else.

Yes, seems like they wanted to focus mostly on the apartment. Contains the budget too, I supposed. However, you are right there was a lot more they could have explored or explained.

Yes the whole show was elevated because of the chemistry and how amazing the ML's character was. I didn't even care about the zombies anymore, I just wanted the ML to be happy with the FL at the end....and the ending was rushed. Sigh

Ok I’ve read all the great reviews here but I’m on episode 3 and this just isn’t making any sense. If they…
I stopped caring about the cure and got more invested in what was happening at the apartment and btw the ML and FL. The cure part and the disease part did NOT make much sense. Up till episode 4 I was trying to figure all of this out and headdesking over the actions taking place but got much better after.

Not all. To marry ML was good one. With the rest I agree (I just finished 4th episode).
LOL yes, that was her best decision. Ep 4 after got much better and ML was definitely swoon worthy.

I am only on episode 3 and I had to stop and come here to say that every single decision the FL has made so far has been stupid and causes problems for others to clean up. I am forcing myself to continue because I like Han Hyo Joo.
------UPDATED review
Alright
1) FL got much better as show went on.
2) ML-What a FANTASTIC character. Loyal, smart, brave, kind, and loves FL so much. I came for Han Hyo Joo but stayed for Park Hyung Shik.
3) Agree with everyone who said the chemistry btw ML and FL was amazing. It was a slow burn romance that I wish they had explored more. I would have liked to see more of them. ML was protective but still gave her space and supported ALL her decisions.
4) There were still many illogical actions. Like Why wasn't anyone keeping Doc from 6th floor under more of a strict watch???? Some people got away with too much.
5) 8.5 is too high for the whole show. Ep 1-4 is probably 7/7.5. EP 4 are when things pick up. EP 5-10 are an 8/8.5 and then last episode probably 7.5. Ending was too rushed.
Overall good zombie show that was made better by the leads chemistry. Nice Ost and good acting all around. Wish we saw more happiness for the leads and the ending was more detailed.

From my understanding they cut out a lot of episodes but ComeON we spent so much time on who pushed whom in the lake and who threw the snakes that this last part should have really been shown to us. They split for 5 years so that reconciliation and angst should have been explored properly. Also a proper ending should have been given.

I totally forgot about Perfect. Although I gotta admit that was not one of my fav novels of her. For some reason I couldn't get through it. She has So many. Almost Heaven and Something Wonderful would both make such great shows.

I would have loved the show to have stayed in the same world as Part 1, her domestic life with her tiger mother…
Agreed. The family life really got lost in the middle and I thought that's what had made it so interesting and different than other shows. The palace shenanigans were always the same with someone bullying Niao Niao allllllll the time.

1) The show has the best characters I have seen in a while. Supporting characters and story really made the plot engrossing.
2) Surprisingly the main romance was not the best part of the story for me. I found that FL and ML had more chemistry Off screen than they had on screen. It may be because the love at first sight sort of thing didn't appeal to me. I had also recently watched FL's Who rules the world and found that her chemistry there was much more sizzling (although the story went to crap at the end in that show). Perhaps another show with these 2 to really see the chemistry.
3) First time I am watching Leo Wu but his character was written and performed in such a way that it made it extremely memorable. I found FL's character interesting but she turned really annoying in the middle part. Just kept being stubborn and sabotaging LBY.
4) I wish the ending was more drawn out. After a lot of misery would have liked to see more happy moments.
5) The OST really added to the moments. EP 49 and that whole birthday sequence was so much more amazing with that original music.
6) Great cinematography. That scene in the forest when LBY goes to visit Niao Niao before he goes to war. That scene was a visual feast.

I agree! I immediately thought of Paradise while watching it. Still worth the watch. Yaya and Mario did so well!
Oh another Paradise reader! Yes they really made KLA suffer with than random organ donation plot and that stepmother/real mother crap.

OMG someone else who has read the novel. I thought I was the solo crazy person who kept thinking this is the exact same. I am glad you can see the parallels. Yes agree still worth the watch. I have wanted a movie version of paradise for so long so this is it I guess. Yaya and Mario definitely brought the intensity and chemistry of Matthew and Meredith.

Give the 2 shows I recommended a try. Since I watch mainly for the chemistry of the leads, I found myself marathoning the above. I feel like Turkish dramas do lead couples well but the plot certain times just veers off.

I haven't watched GRGR for a long while now but honestly it was not one of NY lakorn that I liked. He literally harassed the crap out of her and forced himself on her many times. If you read Paradise you will see how very very closely similar this show and that novel is and Also Judith McNaught is a super best seller romance novelist so it's very possible that Anne read this somewhere. The novel was out in the 90's I believe. I mean even the fiancee and the best friend and especially the 'Lost time' thing were very similar. Of course I am sure there are many other stories where leads break up and then guy gets super rich...but the fact that there is a letter, divorce, and then they find out they are still married, the crazy dad just all seemed very similar.

LOL anytime.. All our drama worlds are Colliding. I am so glad turkish dramas are catching on too.
If you have watched kdrama Secret...that also has a Turkish remake Marium. Again as with most Turkish dramas it has a LOT more episodes than the Korean counterpart.
If you are looking for more suggestions, I am happy to give many more.
My favourite so far has been Son Yaz (the chemistry ...God, the chemistry, acting, plot, just addictive) and Seyah Beyaz Ask about forced marriage (again the CHEMISTRY/Soundtrack/Acting).

So in Paradise the heroine, Meredith Bancroft is a departmental store heiress and the hero Matthew is poor. They meet when they are young....she gets knocked up.. They get married and the dad tries to keep them apart. There is a switcheroo of the letters at the hospital and misunderstanding. No side plot about murders/organ donors etc. Anyway Meredith hates Matthew and he Hates her. He become a multi millionaire and is most eligible bachelor in town. Meredith is now engaged to Lawyer . She also has a friend who has feeling for the lawyer finacee (very similar to Bad romeo). Matthew and Meredith find out that they are still married and she can't get married again. Matthew finds out about how Meredith was innocent and he asks her to spend once a week with him because he wants "lost time". Sound familiar???? At the end Matthew gets implicated again and Meredith has to decide whether she trusts him again. Except in the novel Matthew gets fed up with her lack to trust and walks away. Then Meredith's father gives her a choice...CEO at company OR walk away...and she FINALLY stands up and walks away bec she thinks Matthew is more important. The angst in the novel is amazing. There is no random Asia plot and I think Bad Romeo needed to fix some editing to really explain some of the plot points.
OverALL Yaya was as beautiful /sweet as I had picture Meredith in my head and Mario was a bit younger but as hot headed as Matthew. This is why I think P'Anne read Paradise.
