Thank you for the recommendations. That happened to me a while ago so I was recommended Turkish Drama and mind was blown. May I recommend a 1) Siyah Beyaz Ask: Forced Marriage plot including a Mafia + Doctor (Black and White Love) 2) Son Yaz: Prosecutor takes in a mafia son to protect him, romance, bromance, family values, angst the whole epicness of it all. I Loved watching the culture, the drama, acting, soundtracks, scenery. It really was good to diversify. It was also good to see remakes of certain popular kdramas into Turkish ones such as Secret, Brilliant Legacy.
I don't get the high ratings. I really tried and can sit through a bad lakorn plot but only if there is chemistry. I didn't feel much chemistry btw the leads and it was on repeat of "you should have told me", "I am with your brother now", "I am going on a date with Marissa"....I just couldn't do it after episode 6. Dropped.
I liked this show way more than I thought I would. I thought I wouldn't like the School adolescent portion of the show but surprisingly loved the chemistry btw the leads way more there than after the time gap. Never watched any of the leads before but they had GREAT slow burn chemistry. CFU was enigmatic as Li Xun. Mind you the FL gave him way way way too many chances and I would tell her to stay away from him in real life but in this show he was def the highlight. Business parts were boring after the time jump BUT let's be honest we watched to see if and when the leads would get together.
ok, so it got annoying and draggy, i jump here to heal my heart and soul (or resurrect my rationality for that…
I am glad you finished it and hopefully liked it! Similar recommendations...are you looking for period drama? Slow burn? Enemies to Lovers.....what kind of particular show? I watch all sorts of different shows so if it has to be a particular country let me know.
Great Article! I would also recommend 1) Nam joo Hyuk as the a green flag Do San in Start Up 2) Seo Woo Jin from Dr. Romantic 2 and 3 3) Namkoong Min as Jang Hyun in My Dearest
I see a general sense of unsatisfaction with the ending which is sad and a disservice to all the cast and crew especially the main actors who acted their hearts out.
we need to thanks for whoever wrote the drama because we got A HAPPY ENDING, there's many breakups because how…
It was a last minute happy ending which really annoyed me after that angst but there are a lot of good couple scenes with chemistry and angst so if that's your cup of tea run and watch this. I found the chemistry really well done maybe bec I binge watched it:)
Did they ever say why he was in jail for being a crazy person? his white hair made me think it was him asking…
Okay so apparently there is an extended version of the episode that was released later and there is a scene there where I think he is released and finds out as far as I understand as per the dramabeans post: https://www.dramabeans.com/members/angelshadows50/activity/1491520/
Not in this season but it's pretty good when they DO get together. I agree though she gave everyone and brother…
Oh I loved it a lot more. LOL ML raised this to a new level but first part was like a 9.5 and the second part is an 8. Namgook min's acting alone raised each of them a point. However, yes I wish they gave them a more proper ending after all that pain.
I have to say the first season was much much stronger than the second season. the ML is stuff of dreams and Namkoong Min was acting and then some. You could see every emotion on his face. the FL was fiesty and loved it but she really needed to give ML a chance way before she actually did. She was ready to trust the other two useless guys when they hadn't done half the things ML had done. Despite this Angst was delicious. My Main complaint is that ep 19 onwards the writing went down. The focus on the main characters is what made the show stronger and they should have kept that. Also last episode did not match the epicness of this show and random family subplotline was unncessary. We deserved a much better ending after all the angst.
