This show is like a piece of Hubba Bubba gum. It starts out delicious and you want to savour it all but pretty soon the enjoyment is gone and you are left with a tasteless blob.
The ML and FL has no plot development until at least 30 episodes. By the time the FL finally bothered to care, I stopped caring.
ML condition made no sense and we were supposed to feel bad and wish for them to get together bec of that?
I am VERY confused by the ratings. This is a 7-7.5 tops. Yan lin and princess were best characters and so was Ding Fe substitute.

Yes underwhelming is the correct word. The main couple was forgotten with so much attentions to the villains and flashbacks over flashbacks was too much.

The ending pissed me off honestly because there was 5% focus on the leads while the rest of the episode was side characters. I agree about the focus on making villains too powerful, it was ridiculous.

LOL what a good analogy. Such a waste of an amazing first half. SOO many side character plots at the expense of main characters screen time.

The plot holes were crazy and writing was terrible near the end only covered up by KJW and KSH star power and chemistry

For a drama that started out so promising, the second half of this show turned out disappointing with the ending being so lacklustre, I forwarded half the episode.
WHY build up so much chemistry btw the leads only for it to never pay off to its potential?
I would have forgiven the terrible writing too due to the lead couple but we didn't even get a pay off after all the angst.
KSH and KJW brought their A++ acting game to a story that started out so well only to turn into crazy villains, illogical soap opera, hospital visits, and every trope in drama book all thrown in together.
That last episode left such a bad taste. This show is MAX 8 (the 1 point is for the acting, otherwise 7.)

Dropped because I lost interest due to the FL and the plot.
The chinese version is better in acting and plot. The cases are better and more engaging.
The ML acted well and were quite handsome in both dramas,
The FL is better in the C-version. The FL in thai version is NOT portraying a snail. She was just being obnoxious, know-it-all and as others noted, just kept disobeying the rules of the entire department repeatedly. Also, why was she bug-eyed the entire time? The C-version the lead was smart and she made conclusions as a matter of fact rather than know-it all attitude of thai FL who KEPT raising her hand like she was in class. Also this FL is pretty but not so charismatic or drop-dead gorgeous that ML and multiple other guys were falling for her. Lastly, the running around in heels (probably bec of the height difference with the ML) was NOT realistic for someone in police.

I am on ep 17 and I would have to agree...If this was real police force, she would have been fired on Day 1. Just barging into Captain's room, telling him off, NOT listening at all, I was so confused why he KEPT letting her get away with it.

That part was really disturbing to me. So they had a past, so what. The girl is still married to the brother. The ML should really respect that. The brother and the FL even made out which makes this even grosser. I am not sure how I was supposed to root for them.

Agreed...the lack of continuity was glaring and episodes were streeeetched without any plots where there could have been so much details about entertainment and drama industry that could have been thrown in for proper development

This show is a 7 for me ONLY bec of Ken + Anne otherwise it's a 6 or 6.5 max. It's basically a fanfiction about Ken Anne come to life. There is NO plot and all the actor appearances make it like you are having a dream and in your dream about the Thai industry ken Anne are together.
The comedy and acting are too slapstick. I wanted a Ken Anne reunion and they still have the chemistry but I wish WISH that the intensity they can bring to scenes was properly utilized. Ken was cringy in certain scenes maybe bec it's supposed to be a comedy show but I wasn't a big fan and wish we could have had a serious drama reunion bec that's where I could see the real Anne and Ken. Sigh What it could have been.....

That's pretty much my analysis. Ep 20 came and it's like the writer and the plot switched or something. WHAT happened to the angst and chemistry?

This drama started out strong and then somewhere along ep 20 it lost its way. No idea what happened to the chemistry of the lead couple from the beginning episodes. I don't even know if I can tell you when they got together. The focus on the business aspect at the end really stepped away from the chemistry of the characters which was the "heart" of the show. Lastly, the FL was so stubborn that I wanted to shake some sense into her bec her ego really was bigger than her love for the ML.

Oh yes I meant this for every show. I watched Kingland which I dropped because those readings were undeserved. I also watched my demon which I finished and it was OK but it was definitely not an over 8 show. I started marriage revenge and couldn’t get past episode two yet despite its high ratings

Plot? What plot? I was too mesmerized by the lead couple to notice anything. This is the kind of show that you can watch for the lead couple, their acting, personalities and push and pull. I do wish it had a longer ending to explain everything properly but overall binge watched. The fantasy world needed to be better explained though and took too long to start but I smiled through all the lead couple scenes so time well spent.

I agree...they really needed 2 more episodes because that ending was too short after all that waiting

Yes, I agree. I have never watched a song kang show before and I have heard of the acting issues but strangely enough, they worked because he was playing this demon nonhuman character so his acting wasn’t much to criticize. But the rest is a show and the plot didn’t make sense.
