The worst series I’ve ever seen
If ur thinking of watching this garbage shows DONT, it’s a waste of 10 hours and I regret finishing it.
I don’t know how they managed to do it, but Love Syndrome is somehow worse than Unforgotten Night
Having seen the predecessor of this show, Unforgotten Night, I didn’t expect much from Love Syndrome. This series manages to be much much worse than I expected. As an impatient person, I usually hate when episodes of a show are released weekly, but I was thankful for the week of bliss between each of these horrendous episodes.
Story - 1 - What story?!? I was effectively left confused about the plot every episode. The fact that Love Syndrome was the “sequel” to Unforgotten night somehow made the storyline more confusing. It felt like I had missed multiple episodes every time a plot point was introduced. They just introduce characters and make it seem like we, as the viewers, should already know these people and their storylines. So many random events happened in this series, but the plot was pretty much incoherent. Things just seemed to happen for no reason.
Acting/characters - 1 -
From what I’ve heard Frank isn’t a terrible actor. This show really makes me think otherwise. The rest of the acting in this show was hard to sit through as well. Itt was meh as a character, I liked him sometimes but his stupidity and quickness to forgive Day no matter how many times he hurts him made Itt hard to tolerate at times.
Now onto Day . I absolutely hated Day. I kept waiting for him to start actually liking Itt. I never got the feeling that he loved Itt in the slightest. He consistently treated Itt like garbage. I already hated him but the scene where he actually hit Itt for the first time really cemented my hatred for him. He’s so unreasonable in every decision he makes and jealous over the smallest interactions anyone has with Itt. When Day finds out that he beat and raped Itt, he decides that the right thing to do is confront Itt and storm off.
Mac and Nan. I was never given the impression that these two were in love. Nan literally sabotages Mac’s car before a race. Mac didn’t seem to like Nan and Nan didn’t seem to like Mac. I get that they were trying to set up Mac and Nan as a toxic ( in a hot way ?) couple but they really failed to set up a convincing relationship.
Surprisingly I liked a single couple, Nik and Neil were my favorite and the only 2 tolerable characters in this sorry excuse of a show. Nik (my favorite character) was the only person who called Day out on his bullshit. Honestly sometimes Nik would just trash on Day for no reason, and I loved it. Nik and Neil were the only couple who seemed like they should end up married. Every other couple fell flat and was hard to watch.
Gear and Night, almost inconsequential. Their relationship would be fine, had Gear not sexually assaulted Night. Gear is constantly getting beat up by Day and Night just kinda lets him get his ass beat. It’s never rly explained how Night and Itt just get over the fact their partners assaulted them.
Music - 4 - the music was hard to notice when so much insanity was happening in the show itself. Nothing rly stood out as good or bad, so I’m just giving it a 4
Rewatch value -1-
Only reasons to rewatch would be to make fun of Day or laugh at Nik making fun of Day. This show is hard to watch all the way through once. It’d be almost impossible for me to sit through this garbage again
Overall - 1 -
Anyone who rated this over a 5 must have been watching a different show than I was. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone could see this as a valid piece of media. I’ve never watched a show that was as bad as Love Syndrome lll. Unlike its prequel, Unforgotten Night, which was bad in an entertaining way, Love Syndrome was bad in a way that I’ve never experienced before. Usually I rate shows from a 5 and up because even the worst shows have something entertaining or good about them, but Love Syndrome barely earned a 1 from me. ( the 1 rating is solely for Nik and Neil)
