Haha yes. Like, have these people watch any shows before? There are many shows where characters have flaws, make bad decisions. Most Americans shows have characters who are hateful. It’s to cause drama. If a character was so perfect and did the right thing all the time, that would be pretty boring. I watch romcom kdramas for all the cringy tropes and fun.

I’m also curious. Why watch a drama in 2x, why skip to make it end faster? Just drop it. There are so many kdramas out there, there wouldn’t be enough time in your lifetime to watch it all. Just watch what you enjoy and drop the ones you don’t . I’ve started many kdramas which I don’t like and after 4 episodes, I usually just drop it and move onto the next. Life is too short, just enjoy the good things.

I agree. Healthy debate is ok. Constructive criticism is ok. But some people just hate on a show for no other reason than a blanket “ML/FL are toxic. Red flag. Red flag”. I’m so sick of hearing red flag for every little thing 😅.

Yes and it’s kinda suspicious what the photographer said about wanting to clear his name. I think maybe grandpa had more to do with Do Han’s mum that we first thought.

Each to their own. I found certain parts funny and other parts heartbreaking. The FL is a great actress and sells the character well in my opinion. Yes the characters make crazy choices, but that’s what makes it interesting. I don’t need to always watch a Mary Sue who’s perfect at everything and makes all the right choices. I want to see complex human psychology. We know what we should do but we don’t always do what we should.

But it is a comedy

It’s a kdrama. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so I’ll give mine. Why does every ML need to fall into the “green flag” all the time. People are morally grey. And even if a ML is toxic, it’s just a trope, it’s a drama, it’s for entertainment. I think most people can distinguish between entertainment and reality. I can enjoy watching a “red flag” ML in a drama without needing to date one in real life. Shows aren’t meant to be there to teach you a lesson on what’s right and wrong, it’s there to entertain you. It reminds me of the US and their current social wars on gender politics. People taking a show/movie way too seriously. It’s just for abit of escapism. I enjoy watching John Wick. I don’t think I would watch the show and think “geez, I want to go around and shoot everyone because John Wick does it.” Sorry, end rant.

Tbf, she hasn’t seen him in like 5 years. Their friendship is long and close but it’s not like they spend a lot of time together either.
