An OK Love Story
I placed a spoiler alert at the end of this review.I like the behind-the-scenes reality show approach with the main love storyline. However, I have a problem with the side storylines that they introduced. The script was really great up to episode 11 which is where it goes off track. Although it was still entertaining, I found the ending a bit weak. See potential spoiler alert at the end of this review for more information. The cast was wonderful and did a great job with their character. It also has great cinematography. The editing was great for the most part. I found the costume choices for some of the characters a bit odd, but this is only a minor problem for me.
Random Note: Once again, the synopsis for this series on VIKI is completely inaccurate. About the only information that is correct is the characters’ names and job titles. Do the people that write the synopsis actually watch the series? Sorry, I’ll end my outburst now.
******Potential Spoiler Alert******
I appreciated the script introduced some important subject matters, such as sexual abuse, eating disorder, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. However, I’m greatly disappointed on how it approached them. They should have done a better job with this.
The script really started to lose itself by episode 11. Especially during the end of episode 11 and beginning of episode 12. I kept asking myself where the hell are all the security guards. A large-scale production would have guards all over the place. They didn’t even have one guard at the gate, which was wide open, for night security.
The ending of the series does not link up to the first scene we see in episode 1. What was the point of including this scene if they were not going to go back to that point in time?

A Simple and Enjoyable Series
I placed a spoiler alert at the end of this review. As I’ve stated before, I love series with a paranormal storyline. It had a great story concept, but the script is not perfect. However, the weak parts of the script did not stop me from enjoy the series.
The positive: The main thing I like about the script is it’s a ghost story that incorporates the BL couple development. The acting is decent considering most of the cast members are newbies. I also like how they portrayed their characters.
The negative: Unfortunately, the script started off very strong but begins to unravel by the middle of the series. This is where the plot holes become visible. There are also some aspects of the script that are underdeveloped. The last episode was a bit of a letdown which also has the 1 story element I hate. See potential spoiler alert at the end of this review if you want more info.
The in-between: The cinematography was good, but the special effects and make-up could have been better.
******Potential Spoiler Alert******
The script introduces one too many side storylines for an 8-episode series. They should have added more episodes to develop them properly or not introduce so many in the first place. I wish they picked a few key storylines and fully develop them. Although the last episode has a happy ending, it was weak. It also had an unnecessary time jump (3 years) which did not help the series.

Very Interesting
This was a great supernatural/suspense thriller series. The script did a very good job keeping guessing what was going on. The cast was great and did an excellent job with their characters. I also like how some of the characters are not all that they seem. The music was place very well to help create the right mood of the scenes. The cinematography was done very strategically towards the end. It really helped the progression of the story and understanding the changes between events/characters.Random Note:
Although I’ve only seen a few, this was the first Non-BL series from Taiwan that I enjoyed watching.

A Very Enjoyable Watch
Although the story concept isn’t new, it was very funny. The script was the right mix of comedy and drama. I wish the script for Rak Diao was more like this. I found the pacing to be just right for an 8-episode series. The actors were also great portraying their characters. The only down side is the music was not that rememberable. However, it was used effectively to set the mood of the scenes. I would rewatch this again to help left up my mood after an excessively dramatical series.Random Note:
The description on Viki is not completely accurate, which is nothing new. The description on MDL also not the greatest.
I like the silent nod (papercut incident) to the lead actors’ previous series.

It all becomes clear in the end
This series is a great example that a good script does not need 10+ episodes. Yes, It’s another BL series involving high school students but it has a fresh outlook somehow. There are some story elements introduced in the first episode that may scare people off, but these elements make sense once you see episode four (don’t worry no spoilers). The cast was great and did a wonderful job with their characters. I like how the series acknowledges the fears of how gay men will be accepted by family, friends, and society. I also like the more positive aspect it used with these fears.Random Note: Q’s house was also used in the Mama Gogo Series as Annie’s house. I always get a kick when I see a familiar location used in different series.

Great on Many Levels
I placed a spoiler alert at the end of this review.Warning, I’m a little bias with this review because it was the first BL series that I watched. This was a really outstanding story. I love the script because it touched based on so many elements. It gives you the right amount backstory information on the characters for an 8-episode series. See spoiler alert at the end of this review if you want more info. Even the closing credit scenes were great. I also like the little sayings at the end of the credits which were linked to what happened in that episode. The cast was remarkable on portraying their characters. The songs they used were great in setting up the mood.
Random Note: I feel lucky that this was my first BL series. For better or worse, this series set-up my expectations to be very high on what a BL series should be.
******Spoiler Alert******
The ending is open to interpretation. It will not satisfy someone that needs an ending that has to be happy or sad. To me, it’s an ending with hope which is something we all need in our life.

Very Funny
First off, I’m a sucker for paranormal storylines. This series was awesome. It was funny, sad, and heartwarming in all of the appropriate scenes. I admit there are a few weak points in this version of the script, but not enough to distract you from enjoying the series. The cast was outstanding and did a wondaful job portraying their characters. The special effects and make-up was incredible.Random Notes:
This is the first Non-BL series I watched because Saint Suppapong is in it. I figured it couldn’t hurt because I already saw him in Love by Chance and Why R U. This series is where his acting skills shine. It’s great to see him in a series that has a great script.
I watched this series first before I watched the 2016 South Korean series (Bring It On, Ghost). I wanted to see the Thai version first because I didn’t want any preconceived ideas by watching the original.

A Different Type of BL
I placed potential spoilers at the end of this review. This had a unique and beautiful storyline for a BL. The first thing you have to do is toss all the vampire lore you know out the window and just accept the movie/series version. This was not a problem for me and I liked how they didn’t play it safe with the usual vampire clichés. Yes, the script does have some weak elements. However, it did not stop me from liking this series. See spoiler alert at the end of this review if you want more info. The special effects and cinematography were wonderful. The music was also great.
Random Note: The description on Viki does not match the actual content of the series/move. However, this is an ongoing problem on Viki.
******Potential Spoiler Alert******
I know people were disappointed with the ending, but it made sense to me.

Well……
I acknowledge this review will have an unpopular opinion. This was a cute story but it continues with the very bizarre story concept established in Why R U. I think this was supposed to be part of the original series but then the pandemic happened. The production team did the best they could with the parent story and I was satisfied with the results. I started to enjoy Why R U when it focused more on Fighter and Tutor.
Here is my unpopular opinion. I enjoyed this side story but I could do without it. It really did not add anything. I actually like the characters Saifah and Zon. I simply could not fully enjoy their storyline because it is heavily tied to the one thing I hate about Why R U which is the main story concept.

Didn’t Work for Me
I placed a potential spoiler at the end of this review.I acknowledge this review will have unpopular opinions. The only reason I watched this series was because Saint Suppapong is in it. I was interested on how well his acting skills developed.
I understand COVID-19 caused havoc for this series, but it was doomed from the start. The story concept is just too weird and the script was a complete mess. It also switched from being a romantic comedy to a heavy drama out of nowhere. I was more interested with the relationship development of Tutor and Fighter than with Zon and Saifah. However, this is due to Zon and Saifah’s link to the bizarre story concept. I think Saint’s acting skills really improved and did a great job with his character. The acting by everyone else is decent. As for Zol, this character was very annoying. There were to many supporting cast members and subplots that went nowhere. However, this probably had to do with the pandemic. There are some editing problems with time continuity, one minute it’s daytime and then it’s night time within the same scene. There is also an overuse of sound effects.
Random Note: This is the first BL series that I almost dropped. I kept watching because I wanted to see how Tutor and Fighter’s relationship would end.
******Potential Spoiler Alert******
Why is Zol writing a BL novel about her brother (Zon) and why are all the other characters ok with this? This makes no sense.

Watch With Caution
First off, this series has a scene that down played rape which I had to skip. Just a FYI.I acknowledge this review will have unpopular opinions. I guess this series was considered good when it was first released. There are 4 main storylines which did not help this series. See the breakdown section for more. The script borderlines between satisfactory to pure garbage. There are times where it goes wrong real fast. There are also to many supporting cast members to keep track of. I stopped trying to remember because I stopped caring. Not only are there 4 main storylines, there were also various subplots introduced that they expect you to remember. The acting is ok considered many of them were new at the time. However, it’s hard to tell if it’s the acting or the directing that is bad during some points.
Main Storyline Breakdown (Don’t worry, no spoilers):
1st Storyline: This one involves Pete and Ae which is the healthies out of the 4 storylines. It often borders on the line from cute to annoying.
2nd Storyline: This one involves Tin and Can. This is where the storylines start going downhill. There are some cute moments, but it does not out way the cringey, annoying, and mean ones.
3rd Storyline: This one involves Tum and Tar. This storyline tried to tackle a serious topic, but it failed on many levels. It was also cringey at times.
4th Storyline: This one involves Techno and Kengkla. This is where we hit rock-bottom. This is not even a storyline because most of it involved Kengkla and Technic (Techno’s younger brother). This also has the scene that romanticized/down played rape.
Random Note: If you do decide to watch this, I recommend skipping all the scenes involving Tum/Tar and Kengkla/Technic/Techno’s storylines. I think the actors are good but both storylines are unnecessary. However, skipping the scenes only improved the watchability of this series slightly.
******Potential Spoiler Alert******
Skipping the mentioned scenes above does highlight the Strait Love storyline with Pond and Cha-am which was actually good. However, I’m not a fan of the character Pond.

It almost hit the mark
I placed spoilers at the end of this review.I was hesitant in watching this series because I was worried that each episode would not be connected to each other. I was thankfully surprised that they are all connected by the characters. However, Studio Wabi Sabi painted themselves into a corner with this series. The 7 songs, 7 episodes concept is not a bad one if it was done well. Unfortunately, the script for many of the episodes felt incomplete. Other than noted, the cast and acting was good.
Breakdown of Each Episode:
Episode 1: Would You Be My Love
This episode has a BL storyline. It had an emotionally moving storyline, but it felt rushed towards the end. See spoiler alert at the end of this review if you want more info.
Episode 2: Rhythm’s Heart
This episode has a Straight Love (SL) storyline with a little twist. It had a cute storyline. This is also where you start to see characters from the other episodes. However, this story also felt rushed. See spoiler alert at the end of this review if you want more info.
Episode 3: Remember
This episode is sort of a GL storyline. It had an interesting storyline, but the script was not the greatest. See spoiler alert at the end of this review if you want more info. This is the first episode that felt complete.
Episode 4: Once Upon a Time
This episode has a BL storyline. It also had an emotionally moving storyline which make sense because it does have ties to episode 1. It also did a great job tying the other episodes together. This is where you get to see how the characters from past, present, and future episodes are linked. Don’t stop watching when the credits appear because there is an extra scene to this episode. However, this ending also felt rushed. See spoiler alert at the end of this review if you want more info.
Episode 5: Breakup Zone
This episode has a SL storyline. Cute story but not the most exciting one. The acting is ok. This is another episode that felt complete.
Episode 6: VS Love
This episode has a BL storyline. It has an interesting storyline where the BL story is secondary. However, it works for this episode. This is also the only BL episode in this series that felt complete
Episode 7: 50% My Puppy Love
This episode has a SL storyline. The storyline is basic, but cute. This is the last episode that felt complete.
Random Note: I noticed that episodes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are no longer available in my location on Studio Wabi Sabi’s YouTube channel. Unfortunately, this is probably thanks to iQiyi. According to iQiyi's website, 7Project is only available online on the iQiyi app and iQ.com. I’m not liking the direction Studio Wabi Sabi is heading on how they are releasing their series.
******Spoiler Alert by Episode******
Episode 1: Would You Be My Love
The time jump was random and did not help the storyline. It also ends with an unresolved relationship between Ozone and Sun. You do learn more about their relationship in other episodes, but they could have included it at the end of this one.
Episode 2: Rhythm’s Heart
I like the nod of the problems actors/actresses have to face with fanservice. However, they missed a great opportunity exploring Rhythm’s social anxiety disorder.
Episode 3: Remember
I give them credit for having a GL storyline, but why is it the only episode that has a sad ending. I’m not against sad endings, but they could have balanced this out with some of the other episodes having it to.
Episode 4: Once Upon a Time
I can’t explain it, but the ending just felt incomplete. It was also a weird choice to have the outcome scene after the credits.

Don't Expect Too Much
The story idea was great but it was not greatly implemented. This series starts off very strong but the script falls apart halfway through it. This is unfortunate because it has an outstanding cast with many well-known actors. However, the actors did a great job with what they were given and the cinematography was beautiful.Random Note:
The ending was too weird and left many loose ends. I could be wrong, but it seems they had plans for a second season but it was probably canceled due to Covid-19.

Must Watch!!!
Wow, this was an outstanding series. This had so many impactful storylines. The best thing about this series is it’s a crime mystery first and a BL series second, which I love. The script has wonderful. It had so many twists and turns to keep you guessing without getting you confused. There are some big surprises towards the end that I did not see coming. All of the actors did an amazing job with portraying their characters. Tul and Max are outstanding actors and have great on-screen chemistry. This series helps show off their acting skills. The cinematography was stunning. Was this review helpful to you?
In the Middle
I like the main story concepts, but fell short on the execution. However, it had a nice ending. The acting from most of the cast was ok. Like many Thailand series, it had to many supporting cast members to keep track of. I’m also not a fan of some of the side characters. The English subtitles had grammatical and spelling errors. They also don’t show English subtitles when printed content appears on screen which does not help with the story progression. There are periods when the audio cuts in and out during episodes 9 through 15, but there is still English subtitles. Was this review helpful to you?
