Same. The 1920's hairstyle, the red lipstick, especially combined with the outfits from the first two episodes...…
If that Host club were real, I'd sell my left kidney to get a lap dance from Foei.

I don't usually have favourites when it comes to BL couples, but these two!
It's the surety of how they feel about one another that gets me, for example, Xu Chang Yang making the bird call whilst seemingly never doubting that Feng Qing Lang will respond and Feng Qing Lang not even hesitating to react.
It's also the subtle gestures, the caressing of the neck, the small kisses, the quiet moments of just being etc that other BL couples fail to recreate despite their characters being madly in love.

Me - "If he says gege one more time, imma scream!"

Lu Xiao Fan 2 minutes into episode 2 - "Gege..."

My neighbours 2 and a half minutes later- "Are you okay? We heard a blood curdling scream coming from your room."

I have a question for everyone about the final confessionals, particularly Itsuki's. During the interview, he…
@Everything_on_a_BL_Bagel
I noticed this too. In therapy we call this action, Body Focused Repetitive Behaviour. It's usually an unconscious behaviour and is a way for some to relieve stress and anxiety. It kinda fits with Itsuki's character given what we later find out about his childhood. The impact of that, would also explain why he's unable to maintain a healthy long term relationship or to stay in one situation for too long.

He is literally playing himself lol
@WANG7XIAN 😂😂 Also, the man barely opens his mouth when speaking. I wonder if the kiss scenes will be the same. It would be like trying to force your tongue through the eye of a sewing needle.

That's exactly what I said to myself whilst watching this. It's just Lee Hyeon Jun playing Lee Hyeon Jun.

Why does Lee Hyeon Jun act as though it costs money to open his mouth? Also, I've seen plywood with more energy. Other than that, it's an easy watch.

That fact that both male leads can in a sense, embody the spirit, personality and character of their counterpart and still make you believe that they have actually swapped bodies, is a testament to their acting skills.
Enjoying this much more than I thought I would.

Title To My Shore
I didn't really have a problem with the substance of the episode itself, but dear god where was it shot?? I was…
Like you, I have to admit that I was so focused on what was going on in the background that I didn't really pay attention to our luminanced faced couple. Also like you, I want to know where on earth this episode was shot. So far I've worked out that it's somewhere with a mostly elderly population of people who are quite plumptious in circumference.

You do make a good point though. Maybe I found it hard to engage because of the reactions of the people in the background throwing me off from what was happening between the couple.

From what I understand about the concept of special episodes, they are not meant to be actual substance-filled…
I understand what you're saying and you're absolutely right about special episodes being a gift to that fans, but for me, it also means additional material that expands the story past its main plot.

But isn't that the beauty of differing perceptions? That we can all view the same content and yet still come away with multiple perspectives.

I'm genuinely glad that you got so much from it. And yep, I agree entirely about the kisses.

Best scenes, 1. A crew member trying desperately to stop an impeding couple from walking into shot.
2. A couple looking back to watch two men franctically kissing with all the passion of a dead squid.

I loved the series and squeed with joy when I saw that there was an extra episode. Unfortunately this special didn't quite work for me. It seemed devoid of any real substance and felt like a bit of a wasted opportunity. Still, it was good to see our overly filtered couple back on screen.

Title Double Helix
I said what I said. If you all don’t understand male bodies, I can’t help you. You literally have to bend…
The idea that healthy, strong men cannot be sexually assaulted is a dangerous and pervasive myth. It isn't always about physical strength, size, masculinity or fitness but about control and power over those they prey upon. I deal in trauma and believe me, it is very possible for an able-bodied adult man in good physical condition to be assaulted.

Phew! Well that got dark reeeeeal quick.
This is proving to be far more enjoyable than I anticipated. And while I'm not a fan of montages, the scenes depicting them recording each other possess a natural and captivating cuteness.

"MyDramaList is a space for respectful and thoughtful discussion. Harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, and inappropriate language are not allowed..."

Obviously no one gives a baboon's derriere about the rules because the comment section is a puerile mess of childish insults, immature name calling and juvenile finger pointing. Seriously, I've taught five year olds with better verbal etiquette.
Opinions are like armpits, some may stink more than others but we all have them and we all have the right to exercise them...that's opinions, not armpits.

I had to stop watching after the eliminations were announced because seriously, my eyes rolled back so far in my head out of pure frustration that I could see the inside of my cranium.
This is supposed to be a show about finding love, not a game show, so why the eliminations?

Title The Boyfriend Season 2 Spoiler
As someone who has a hole where her heart should be but also as a mum to a Queer child, episode 11 took me out. That scene between Huwei and Bomi hurt my soul because my Womb-Fruit's sexuality is not something that needs to be fixed, it's an innate part of him.
In saying that, kudos to Huwei's mum for reiterating that he was still her child no matter what.
