This is a cute figuring yourself out story. Nothing else. So, they are completely oblivious to what love is and how it’s supposed to feel and that’s the whole point of this series. They kind of, sort of, maybe find out, one a tad bit earlier than the other. People complain about their ”situationship” and not defining their relationship but seriously, how can they when they can’t even figure out what love feels like in 10 episodes.

The end is a bit abrupt but there’s not really much else they can do atp. A cop out sure but how else would they tie it together. Not that it’s very well tied, or at all.

It’s cute but don’t expect any miracles if you chose to watch it.

The hate Dan is getting here makes me happy I’ve dropped this. I don’t want to have bad feelings towards Donut and sometimes it’s hard to get past an actors past role if he was doing a very convincing job. That’s why I’m having a hard time watching Mew for example. He’ll forever be Tharn to me. And Donut deserves to be more than Dan.

Edit: I realize it sounds like I have bad feelings towards Mew and absolutely not. I think he’s a darling.

I’m mostly annoyed by the car because there are plenty of snazzy luxury cars from the 80s they could’ve chosen. 😎 Other than that I generally don’t care too much if they stray off a bit.

Am I the only one being annoyed with the car Liu Yi is driving? Probably. It’s supposed to be the 80s and he’s driving a car from the 2000s. Or am I missing something here?

Other than that… wow, just wow. This is top notch BL. I want more BL like this. More triads/yakuza/whatever they are called in Korea/the rest of Asia/gangsters.

I’m sure they are. I haven’t read it nor will I. I’m not a fan of the trope thus I’ll drop it now. Besides, LJ have annoyed me so far in pretty much every episode and i wished it would get better. Seems unlikely now.

It’s enough to read the comments about the amnesia plot for me to drop this series. I don’t need to see this latest ep to know I will get annoyed. It doesn’t get better now will it. Sigh.

Well, I finished it and what can I say. It’s awesome. I can see how some people don’t like it but I really enjoy the melancholy, the sadness and heartbreak this series deliver. Is there flaws? Sure. Does the ml come off as meek and gullible? Some might think so but there is a lot to the character if you look closely. It might seem like a shallow, boring series at a first glance but it has much more depth if you just give it a chance.

Also, I absolutely love the setting in the 90s and the financial bubble that was back then. I guess it gives an extra dimension to the series if you actually has lived through that time and remember the frenzy that was.

I’ve watched 6 ep and my heart has broken for Xiao Fan in every episode. That sweet poor guy. He didn’t ask to be there. Anyway, I love it so far. The melancholia in each episode is top notch.

Isn’t the bigger issue here that he went out with like five different girls?

And yeah, I agree with you on the idol business and dating. Idols should be able to date in peace.

This is so silly and I’m all here for it. A nice little Sunday watch that doesn’t take itself very seriously. Something we all need. Also, Jam and his yellow back pack.

I really want to love this series but I think the plot is so boring. I love all the characters and the actors are doing a great job but I find the plot tedious to follow. I can’t really put my finger on why either. So I’m slowly watching it episode by episode because I absolutely adore the relationship between Yue Luo and Yu Zhi (and Chu Ran is my girl?).

Now that you say it. 🤔 I assumed it was Jet but maybe not. But Put died five years prior. Would some random girl really remember him and recognize only by his eyes?

It’s a shame. I’m on edge with this one too. I might not continue it too. Maybe when all three episodes has finished. It’s a bit easier to binge it I discovered with the first episodes. Then you can always fast forward when you get annoyed. lol.

Should I read the novel? Is it just as frustrating?

You could say they break up yes. LJ ask BJ to give him time. BJ asks him to come back to him (after thatvtime he needs however long that is) and he doesn’t get a definitive answer from LJ.

Yeah, I was thinking about Jamie too. He more or less promised to be there for him but I guess he forgot about that when he once again decided to leave. That kid deserves the heaven, not some indecisive dude who maybe, probably but maybe not will be there next time you wake up. Poor kid.

I had so high hopes for this episodes but no, of course that little whiner (no offense) had to go and fuck it up. Again. And I’m afraid that will go like that the next three episodes too. I’m secretly hoping BJ will set his foot down and tell LJ he’s had enough and no, you can’t come back. I’m over you. Wishful thinking probably.

I am so over little Jane now. Once again is he leaving BJ. Why?? To prove he’s worthy of his love? Now’s not the time. Just take the fucking money and let your bratty little brother (anyone surprised he would fuck up? No? Me neither. ) solve his issues himself. Make a payment plan to BJ or something.

This is getting boring tbh. I’m only watching atp because I find BJ pretty attractive. All the drama is just repeating itself over and over. At least do some mafia stuff. Just a teeny tiny bit.
