Deng out shined the ML in both of his recent roles. His acting skills are spot on. Hopefully, he gets a heavy hitter sponsor that will be able to fight for some lead roles.

I was so bored with the drama after the beginning that I fast forwarded entire chunks of each episode until near the end when it got interesting again.

@princess_celesta, it's an enjoyable series. Hou Chi is naive because he's been up on his mountain retreat cultivating to hopefully become an Alliance Leader one day; thus, he doesn't have any experience with girls until the FL drops in on him unexpectedly. ML and FL are adorable together and well played by the actors. The only negative is that misunderstandings between them seem to occur more often that they should from a lack of communication or explanation on the FL's part knowing that Hou Chi has a lot to learn about women.

They really needed to match Alen Fang up with a more established female lead. I just couldn't get into the series with her as his leading lady and dropped the series after 16 ep's.

I would def watch another season of ALP, if released. The lead actors, as well as secondary cast were perfect in their roles. The series included just the right amount of serious elements; however, the comical parts like Houchi raining lightning strikes down upon those for whom she disliked were also a treat to watch. I hope to see ZDY in more costume series.
