Yo as a gay man it’s heartwarming seeing so many others sharing the same opinion and concerns. It’s wild reading…
Thanks for your input! I hate the fact that we somehow have to confirm that we are not straight to explain how Akira was groomed. Allowing things like these will hurt the community and I’m happy that there are likeminded people in these comments, especially someone else from the community that can agree that that tutor was a A class pedo.

And the fact that the character is shown as someone who's a soft speaker and tries to be supportive. For me that's…
Shows are trying to make more nuanced characters but some viewers forget that it's not because the character went through shit that it cancels the bad. You can still feel empathy for them, but still acknowledge that they are awful.

I blocked them, cause I'm like so over people defending pedos, especially with everything that is happening in the world. I legit have a bachelor in the psychology sphere and to see people not understanding the signs of grooming is very concerning.

Remember when Akira said that he was going to tell Kanata about their "arrangement" and the pedo tutor was trying to convince him not to because Kanata wasn't going to understand and will see him differently. Also, everytime he was taking advantage of him he kept saying sorry or telling him that it was time for them to stop whatever they were doing. Also, a 14 years old is still a kid and saying that he can give consent to a 23 years person to engage in sexual acts is insane. Idc if he was willing, as a 23 years old he should've stopped it. That's what statutory rape is, and people trying to find loopholes by talking about the age of consent and shaming us for calling that tutor a pedo sound crazy.

Your entire comment is so true, don't let anyone tell you otherwise omfg
Thank you for being on of the sane ones. Bet they wouldn't say the same things if it were their kid. I wonder if they'd called the tutor a savior if he did the same to their kid. Defending grooming and pedophilia in 2026 is crazyyyy.

Its not grooming, thats nonsense In fact you lack to descripe a grooming thing, cause in your way every sexuel…
dude i'm not reading all that, you can defend a pedo as much as you want and it doesn't change the fact that he's 14-15 and that pedo is 23.

although whatever akira and the tutor have going on is not exactly romanticized in the show, it's very obvious…
omg thank you!! I thought everyone saw how clearly the show was showing that Akira was a victim, but I came here and saw people saying that the tutor "saved him" 😭💀

Mind you, a 15 years old kid, comes out to him and describes his first negative experience as a closeted kid, and this tutor decides to help him "find balance" by taking advantage of him. This is grooming. Period. We know from the beginning that he's a pretty lonely kid, and we are very aware that his parents are not really that present in his life, so this is like text book grooming. He picked a lonely, sad and closeted kid and preyed on him. The thing that gives me the ick is that there were sooo many options. He could've helped him in any other way and he chose the grosses one. He could’ve been a role model to him, or some type of confident to him, WITHOUT taking advantage of him omg. Did anyone understand the toll it took on Akira? He legit called himself a stain on episode 6. The entire show, he kept calling Kanata pure and innocent, while saying that he was the complete opposite and that he wasn't what Kanata thought he was. It’s just terrible. Before anyone comes and calls me homophobic, I am not straight. I can understand that some people in the queer community have similar experiences, but that doesn't make it right at all. It's not because it's some sort of "rite of passage" that it makes it right. I also do not want to hear about the "heteronormative view of society" when it comes to this. The tutor is a pedo, a creep and Akira is a victim. This is terrible messaging for younger queer kids out there. Be mindfull, jeez guys.

Apparently, for some reason, a lot of k-pop fans and fans of Thai BL series have gathered here. I can understand…
Agreed! I watch thai series and Japanese series too and it's def something different. Different, but still great.

Damn are you for real 😭 this is the best funny bl series I've watched.
"using sterotypical gay" is a wild statement for me cause, when have we ever seen a show where the main queer character was effeminate in a thai bl? Also, I do not think they are poking fun at all, and we can clearly see that in the first minutes of the show. We see a queer person navigating a modern time, where she still has haters calling her slurs (and you can tell that it affects her too). Again, this a comedy. If you prefer your historical dramas with less comedy, i'd say to watch "I feel you linger in the air" It has the same theme, but it is more serious!

They have a big problem with saying the word "gay" in this drama lol. First Gyeongu and now Rosa.
queerness, especially in those times, was always about subtext (living together, raising a kid together, living everything to the other after death, etc.), so it’s not surprising that it’s the same case in this show.

idk why, but I just don't understand how their story was seen as frienship, when the subtext clearly shows them as more

ikr, such a precious friendship that not everyone can have… maybe because they grew up in oprhanage that they…
it's not us tho, its implied that at least one of them (Sang Wol) is in love with the other. She doen't say it out loud, but you can tell that she loved her and not just as a friend, but also as a lover. Idk if you caught that, but when the man start living with them, Sang Wol says herself that their relationship looked really weird to other people. Also, when she has to explain to Ho-Su and Mi-Ji what Ro-Sa meant to her, you can tell that she was in love with her. Pretty sure, Ro-Sa kept writing those poems about her non-stop and that's why she was uncomfortable when she was surrounded by the man. I don't think what they had was a deep frienship, but something way more, borderline romantic for sure.

i wouldn't really call it a frienship, but i wouldn't call it a romantic relationship either tho, but i do believe that it was something too complex to describe

it's not a wig, it's his hair + some extensions
have you seen his social media or like videos of him in the past? He has had long hair before, and his hair rn is on the longer side. Sure, not this wavy or long, but those are def the extensions.

rather that than the entire plot honestly 💀
no, on the contrary. Thai trailers (usually bls) mostly show the entire plot, so it's nice tthat it's not the case with this one

i know that the mother of the girls probably went through a lot in her lifetime, but damn...she really sucks as a mum 😬. She can't tell her daughters apart, she can't feel a shift in their personalities, she doesn't know that both her daughters had issues of their own and she's just a shitty and lousy human being in general... She goes on saying very horrible things to everyone around her (especially her neighbour) and she just gets away with it.
