It's not underrated at all. It is a hit at China during airing and the drama still very popular even after 5 years.

Soon it will reach 100m/ep which is a very hard feat to achieve.

I can't believe I watched the whole things just for them not to end up together 😭
The ending is at the sequal which is Forever and Ever. This story is from one book but they separate the drama into historical and modern.

Forever and Ever has satisfying happy ending. That's the conclusion of their love story.

Both dramas are stand alone. You can understand Forever and Ever even without watching One and Only.

However, there are so many references between the two dramas.

Honestly, both dramas are so beautiful. My favourite CP till to date .

She was given to him to settle a family grudge between his uncle and her auntie. They actually bring up this matter again in the middle of the drama. Her auntie still not able to let go.

That is why Zhousheng Chen reluctant to take her since he's out doing military campaign all year long.

One of the most beautiful love stories. Ren Jialun and Bai Lu has chemistry that is so palpable.

Both of their acting is phenomenal. It is layered and with depth.

10/10. One of the dramas where I find everything from acting, writing, directing to cinematography to be near perfect.
