On ep 5, and I'm enjoying the story so far. My only complaint is that characters are moving their chess pieces like they've already seen (not predicted) their opponent's moves. For example, the Crown Prince sends a rare incense to her with no instructions or subtext, and she immediately knows who to re-gift it to because she'll later discover that incense smell on her half-sister who conveniently met the 2nd Prince right before meeting Ms. Super-Nose. The same thing happens with Prince Yu, the Rogue Ledger, the ambush, etc. Could it happen? Sure. Could she have miscalculated their moves like what if her sister didn't meet the 2nd Prince or Prince Li decided to keep the Ledger with him? you could write it off as 50% luck. It's giving Coroner's Diary ...everything is just a walk in the park
I like how he just pulled an excuse out of his ass just to squeeze dat ass. 🫠🤭🫢 "Why are you so out of breath? What...need my help to build your stamina? "...No Sir, you just want to feel up dat ass....and that high pitched squeak sound just sent me 😂💀
Jane Patrick exactly knows when to push and pull at the right time to emotionally manipulate his prey. first he gave him flowers and pampered him with undivided attention and care and make him feel like he is the only important person in the world. The moment his subject behaves like not the way he wanted him to, instead of talking out like normal people, he cuts him off cold turkey...and shows up on the right time when he's most venerable and saves the day. I'm am so invested!
I don't understand how drink system works in Host Clubs. First in Love Like A Bike and now here. How much usually is 1 drink? Is 1 drink = 1 shot? Obviously they're not going to drink 1000 drinks...but if some heavy drinker is up for a challenge or brought like minded friends, is the bar going to serve all 1000 drinks?
Finally!!! I am absolutely loving the plot and the characters. Qiuyu is such a jealous, possessive red flag who only has eyes for Youen. Meanwhile, Youen is the ultimate green flag...an innocent, doe-eyed Bambi who takes so much pride in his work and looking after his only sick brother...which put him in a mountain of debt to loan sharks. Then there’s the incredibly handsome artist, Zhong, who wants Bambi Youen to be his Muse... and of course, that 'puppy-faced' guy (I can never remember his name!) who is falling hard for Mr. Artist. This dynamic is everything!!
I remember from an interview with Jackie Chan (or Michelle Yeoh) that back when they were shooting martial arts movies in HK, they didn't even have scripts most of the time. The director be like you jump here, hit the guys, etc and they improvise lol. It doesn’t surprise me these guys wrapped up a movie in a few weeks and just grab a random uni student to help with the writing.
Consort Shu, Qi Rongyin, was not actually pregnant. It was a rumor fabricated by the imperial physician on the…
Thank you for the detailed explanation. One last question, How was blaming General Wei as a traitor had a play in all this? I'm assuming same ancestry name Wei makes Wei Yan and FCY's dad related. Why didn't Wei Yan clear his name after he killed the old Emperor and took control of the child Emperor?
Okay, the politics have me a bit confused about a few things. So, the previous Emperor worried that his wife's family (the Qis) would try to replace him with his own son, the Crown Prince, just because PM Wei made a drunken suggestion? I also didn't quite understand the scene with the maid and the drunk PM Wei and why did that maid later go mad? Emperor made a deal with another official (I can't recall the name) to withhold help from the Crown Prince and Yen Zheng's father when General Wei arrived with the real Tiger Tally. Meanwhile PM Wei was distracted by YZ's Mom's safety. There are still a few things I don't understand: Who actually started the fire?(in the earlier episode, it was Qi Min's mom who started it. But later episode, it was YZ's Mom who went in the fire....presumably, she started it?) What was in the letter from Yen Zheng's mom to PM Wei, and why did she let herself burn in the fire? What happened to the Emperor’s new wife who was pregnant from an affair? Is she related to the puppet Emperor and the Grand Princess? What happened to the official who refused to send help? And if PM Wei knew General Wei wasn't a traitor, why did he frame him as one? How was scapegoating FCY's Dad benefit PM Wei from crowing the new puppet Emperor? Sorry, my Brian cells are all burnt out. 😵🤯
😆 Singapore is near Equator. The weather is very hot and humid with dramatic thunderstorms...similar tropical weather like Thailand. and they dressed them up Iike they're at somewhere cold.
So, he xxxed him in the pool from behind and xxxx inside him and told him to leave right after....and also, ask him to feed his cat on his way out??? And Tor willingly does all those things? At some point, boy gotta have some self respect for himself.
P’Tor, baby, you don’t owe him sh!t. There’s no reason to console him, cook for him, or lie for him just because he gave you a good f^ck. You already know he’s a two-faced lying sob. Get out of there as fast as you can.
Why didn’t Bell go to the police after she received the letter...like immediately?! She was so relaxed that she took a bubble bath 🛀 and the police never warned them to contact them if they receive the letter because there have been two murders on their watch?
I would have liked it more if it were a shorter drama. I hate that they stretched it to 13 episodes, with not enough plot to back it up. Most of the plot feels like filler.

GIAMATTI: Was acting on film less terrifying because there’s no audience?
YEOH: Yes, and in Hong Kong at that time, nobody knew their lines because there were no scripts. It was like, “Just go in there, and they’ll tell you what to say.”
