This is also another classic in Xianxia genre. But I won't say it surpassed L&R and TMOPB. These two are still my first and second favourites.
As they were set in the same universe, TMOPB and this are very similar and I kept thinking about the former while watching this. The osts are soothing and memorable and the first part of the plot was made very well. I put off watching this for years because of the ML but wow. I've fallen in love with his character and his protrayal of the chracter. I love his smiles and facial expressions. Ni Ni's acting is also amazing.
The chemistry of the main leads is good and the plot is interesting. I thought it would have even more depth than TMOPB but the middle part was dragged out a lot in the mortal realm. They wasted too much precious screentime on SML and FL moments. I was annoyed and almost lost interest in even ML and FL's story. I had to use FFW button several times.
When I started to be into it again after ML and FL got together, FL gave ML the cold shoulder because she was mad at him for trying to save Ling Xi. (I was like 'Girl you two are the same person.) And she had to take a lot of time to forgive him.
Although I liked the final part, I'm not satisfied with how they couldn't hold their wedding. I mean it has 60 episodes but they didn't even show the main couple's wedding scene. The ending was also rushed and the villains disappeared very quickly. YT kept making troubles throughout the drama but she just vanished into air suddenly at the end.
I'm also pissed off with how they made ML's hairstyle. He is actually handsome and manly but this hairstyle really didn't suit him.
Anyway, it's a pity this could have been a lot better.

Wow. Really? I have to thank AB and MTY big time. This ending is perfect and sweet. It's been a long time since I saw such a satisfying ending in a costume C-drama.

I'm having withdrawal symptoms and having a hard time trying to find something to watch. Whenever I'm watching a new drama, I keep thinking about Rou Chen and Yin Yin. It's hard to find the main characters as strong as them and the chemistry as lovely as the one they had. I miss the days when I waited eagerly to finish work and watched this before I went to sleep. This is the best drama I've watched this year so far.
MDL ratings are becoming more and more unreliable. Even some average mini-dramas have the rating above 8. This wonderful full-length drama isn't getting the rating it deserves.

I really want to like this as I like both YY and WCR but FL character is too weak. Been trying to be patient and hanging on but her actions are just repetitive. But rescue scenes were done well and I truly appreciate all the firefighters in the world.

Yep. YY character kinda became inconsistent there. I thought she wouldn't leave him behind that easily when she remembered him. But I guess the writer wanted to create a misunderstanding so that they can make RC and the audience suffer. That's why they made YY become friendly with that Ling guy all of a sudden after her amnesia started. I actually wanted her to apologize for the misunderstanding in the end but it didn't happen.

No, you're not. I also like him more as Demon King. It was refreshing to see the ML who will do anything to make FL stay by his side.

Really enjoyed the ending. RC lying to everyone for his plan was quite a twist. This drama will always be one of my favorite Xianxia dramas. The chemistry and characterization of the main couple deserve 10000 out of 10 rating but I gave it 9 considering costumes, CGI and the amount of the sweet moments between the main leads. Yes. I'm just pissed off with how there were very few romantic scenes after YY's amnesia started. Anyway, I truly enjoyed this. I'm gonna miss this couple. Hope to see their reunion.

I just laughed at how the gods in heavenly realm were so clueless about the appearance of the demon tower. RC should be furious considering how all the people only relied on him for facing the calamity. It has been millions of years but they have been doing nothing to stop the apocalypse expect raising RC with the purpose of making him the saviour.
I think there will be a twist about the creater of the demon tower. RC seems to be hiding something. Anyways, there are only two episodes left. Praying for the happy ending of RC and YY but I don't dare to have high expectations about it.

Episodes 31 and 32 were tense. I really enjoy seeing the dark side of RC but I'm afraid YY will hate RC. It seems like RC will do anything to remove Nuwa's tear and things aren't looking good for him. If he destroys Endless Sea, I'm sure YY won't forgive him even if she remembers him. I'm too scared to watch the ending. I really want both RC and YY to be together happily in the end.

Ikr. That amnesia plot is really frustrating. I thought it wouldn't cause much trouble when they introduced it because every problem was solved easily before that. I completely agree with you. They truly deserve to be with each other.

The couple chemistry was also good in LBFAD. But I couldn't get enough of the sweet moments between them.

I really love episode 29 and 30. And I love how RC chose YY over the "3 realms". It's really unfair that his fate was determined by other people from birth. I think Xixuan elders also lied to him that YY will remember him if he changed his identity? Nothing about Nuwa's tears changed even after he became the demon king. But I guess he will eventually have to go back to destroy that tower. I'm really worried about him. I'm not sure if RC will get a happy ending with YY.

I also have a bad feeling about Ling. They seem to be focusing on his interaction with YY. Please don't forget RC and like Ling, YY.😭

If you're talking about their separation in episode 10, there was a little bit of misunderstanding between them after that but it was resolved quickly and the main leads will get back together again in episode 14. I'm not sure when he'll become a demon king but we got major hints about his special power/identity in episode 17.

I've watched up to episode 28 and it didn't end yet. I don't think it's going to end any time soon. The obsession is really annoying so I just skipped her and SML's parts.

Maybe it's good from his/her point of view. For me, I tried watching SEL. The only good thing was Xu Kai's styling and his fighting scenes. The plot and the the supporting characters were plain bad.
