I just watched up to episode 2, and somehow I couldn't feel the chemistry between the main leads because of Scent's character. He seemed to have no sympathy for Gaysorn at all. It put me off watching the next episodes. Does his character develop, or does he basically stay the same? I mean, I know he'll fall in love with him, but will he reflect on his and his family's actions and do anything about them? It baffled me that he didn't even bat an eye when his uncle told him about using a human to make perfume
I am dying to watch this series but I can't bring myself to see the suffering
It's not every day that this kind of show is made and the chemistry between Ayden and Elio is really worth watching. Maybe try watching a few episodes and give it a chance
I think that’s exactly what he expected. The problem is that Lu Feng loved him so unconditionally for so long…
Yes, that scene painted him in a new light. He must have never expected Lu Feng to ignore him because it had never happened before. I'm glad Lu Feng acted as if they were just classmates. Yi Chen should have seen it coming after putting him through so much misery for such a long time
I agree. I see a lot of people comparing Lu Feng's family and Yi Chen's family to justify Yi Chen's choice. His…
Yes, and I believe there were other choices Yi Chen could have made instead of actually marrying a woman he didn't love. He could have pretended to break up with Lu Feng or told him they should take a break until his mother got better. But he chose to leave Lu Feng as soon as he found out his mother was sick, as if Lu Feng didn't matter to him at all.
And yes, he didn't have to disappear even after his mother died. Leaving your boyfriend without proper closure after promising him a future together was simply not a reasonable thing to do at all.
That scene in Episode 8 left me dumbfounded. I can't understand why Yi Chen went back to find Lu Feng after all those years. He was the one who didn't want Lu Feng to find him in the first place. And now he really thought Lu Feng would welcome him with open arms after he left him to marry another woman five years ago? It was as if he thought he could come and go as he pleased just because he knew Lu Feng loved him
The amount of people defending Yi Chen’s mother is honestly concerning. You can sympathize with Yi Chen without…
I agree. I see a lot of people comparing Lu Feng's family and Yi Chen's family to justify Yi Chen's choice. His father might have been homophobic and cruel to him, but his sister was there for him, and he still decided to leave his family. Also, regardless of how they treated him, they were still his family, and he never hesitated to leave behind the lap of luxury he grew up in because he believed in Yi Chen. I hope people don't downplay his decision to trust Yi Chen completely by going against the world, which is not an easy thing to do.
It's clear that Yi Chen's love was never as strong as Lu Feng's. From the beginning, he expected that one day he would have to part ways with Lu Feng. I think Yi Chen was never brave enough to go against his family and choose Lu Feng, which is why I sympathize with Lu Feng. Although I also think Yi Chen could have tried harder if he truly wanted to be with Lu Feng, I understand his perspective. People's priorities can be different. For Yi Chen, it was his family, while for Lu Feng, it was always Yi Chen.
And yes, Yi Chen's mother was being homophobic. If she truly loved her child, she would never have pressured Yi Chen to marry a woman while giving her other child a free pass simply because he was the younger one. I really hated her
