For me, Xuan Ji is also the only female lead with the best character development in chinese costume dramas. I love how both Si Feng and Xuan Ji deserve each other.

I understand what you mean. 24 eps drama seems not to be suited for Bingyan's popularity. But she has not been cast in any drama for a long time. I'm afraid she will lose some fans if this situation continues. I believe if the leading couple's chemistry and the plot are good, the drama will be famous. I also hope BY will get better projects after this one.

After getting disappointed by many drama rumours of Crystal Yuan, I am not excited about this news. But I hope it's true. Being a fan of both Zheng Ye Cheng and Crystal Yuan, I love to see them together in a new drama.

Only liked Ximen and Xiao Yiu couple. They were so sweet. The drama was unnecessarily long and draggy and the main couple had no chemistry.

I still can't move on to a new episode after ep 11. It's kinda boring. I wanted to watch this for the leading couple but neither the plot nor their chemistry is exciting.

Is this drama really bad? The rating gets lower and lower. I finished episode 11 and I think this is an average drama. Does it get worse after that?

This is a good mix of suspense, comedy, fantasy elements, action, friendship, and familial relationships. It looked cheap in the first few minutes of the first episode but it got more and more better. I heard about the change of writers so I was worried about inconsistency in quality of drama. Although the first half was better, the plot was engaging throughout the whole drama.I was able to neglect some plot holes in it. All the cast did a good job but Lee Hong Nae stood out there. He portrayed the duality of his character very well.
I don't think season 2 is necessary but I'm expecting it haha. Hope the same cast will return with a good script.

I continued watching this drama just for the second lead couple.

The drama is going to get a lot better after that. Hao Chen is one of those kinds of villain that intensify the plot of the drama. The drama has more depth due to his character. But I understand you. He became very despicable that I skipped his scenes.
