Why are the queen dowager and that one Minister so against our FL? Is it because they want to put someone beside him that is under their control? Also this same minister, does he want to bring the emperor down? Court Lady dong was threatened, so she begged our ML to bed her, why does the dowager and this minister want her to get pregnant so bad? Is it simply to produce an heir or is there some other reason?

Second ML just said he has severed his emotional ties with our FL. Don’t believe it for a second, the guy has been head over heels/obsessed with her. I seriously doubt it.

In my opinion, he may not have known on a conscious level but may have known on a Subconscious level. Everything about her is very feminine, I think even commented on the delicacy of her hands in an earlier episode.

I am going to make a prediction. This employee needed a bone marrow transplant from his brother, the brother failed to show up. Somehow our FL gave him what he needed and that’s why he’s working for her and is so loyal. This is just a guess .

I think when he discovers she’s a woman, I think he’s going to fall madly in love with her.

It’s not that he’s an idiot, but his mother, to protect him, deliberately steered him down a path so that the emperor would not suspect him of trying to take the throne. It is not the characters fault that he is where he is. He’s kind of pitiful and was thrown into a dark reality overnight, given tons of responsibilities That he was not trained or equipped for.

I looked up the actor playing Chen Qi and was shocked to see that this is the same goofy guy from To Be With You!! I never cease to be amazed at how different an actor can look from drama to drama! Blows me away.
