This has been a reoccurring theme whenever a Chinese BL starts airing and then Chinese "fans" start stalking…
At this point I’m starting to think companies actually use this pattern for publicity. Whenever a new actor gets chased by these obsessive Sasaengs, it makes people curious they start looking them up, talking about them, and suddenly the company has a trending topic blowing up online. It’s like free promotion.
But what frustrates me is that they only step in after multiple incidents, or when things get so dangerous and out of control that everyone is talking about it. Only then do they finally give the actor proper bodyguards. Why not protect them from the beginning?

lol I remember that, like are they forgetting that they/us are adults? and know what's good or bad for us no amount of smoking characters could ever influence me to consider smoking and smoking is the least concerning thing happening there lmao it's an R18 series who are we trying to protect from influence bet half of them audience already smoke 😂
Some people really need to stop asking for this to be turned into some green flag version when the whole point…
Couldn’t agree more every genre has its own elements, so why would anyone want them all watered down into the exact same dynamics? That’s boring. Films and literature thrive on diversity. If everything is just endless green flags and perfect behavior, then what’s even the difference between one story and another? It starts feeling like rewatching the same show over and over again. Sometimes I want dark, intense, blood boiling dynamics that actually thrill me and keep things interesting.
it’s giving meeh… Lu Si Tongs acting is very stiff and unnatural. I hope this gets better as the show goes…
While I respect your opinion, I think you might be overlooking the fact that this is the face of a depressed, traumatized, and grieving person. Why would he be giggly, cheerful, or highly expressive? The character is intentionally portrayed this way, even in the original version. We're are only at the beginning; there are much more tragic scenes upcoming, which will be a better baseline for judging how well the actor carries them out because not much has happened yet, the things you perceived as flaws have deeper meanings that you might have missed. Even the brothers' similar names are different in character writing and meaning in Mandarin.

I've been saying this for a while and will say it again CBLs have been ruling BL world since 2025. RL, K2L, TMS,…
The toxic top trope in older CBLs comes from the time where the original novels were written in. Back then, the stereotypical dynamic of a weak crying uke and a possessive/red-flag seme was extremely popular, and many of these novels are almost 20 years old, so they reflect the trends of that era. Audience expectations have changed a lot since then, which is why newer BLs, especially Thai ones, often go for green/yellow flag and healthier dynamics.
A lot of the new Thai BLs are based on more recent novels or original scripts written with modern audiences in mind, so the character dynamics tend to feel light funny, more equal, or aware about addressing abuse compared to older CBL stories.
