No, she went back to the U.S and came back at the end of 35 i think. She needed to come back anyway cause after you file for divorce there is a 3 month cooling off period before they can go to court and have the divorce granted. 3 months cause they have a child.

Depending how it goes, it could also be argued that Hani is yoo young to remember being abandoned aswell. Beom Soo ex will certainly be playing dirty after all.

I don't think Beomsoo ex has been fully honest with the Chairman tbh. I wonder if he will find out some truths and be put off by it. Like you said, it could damage his business aswell.

It's sad, but child abandonment happens quite alot.

We had a show in my country where they help adopted children reunite with lost parents/relatives.

One of those sticks out where 2 siblings was adopted and the daughter decided to find her roots. Brother had unfortunely died due to a bad childhood with other kids(turned to drugs etc.)
When she found her bio dad it was found out that he worked as a taxi driver and the mom had just abandoned them and he wasnt able to raise them by himself and him finding out what happened to the son was heartbreaking.
Some doesn't deserve to be parents at all. I have alot more words for it, all of them would be against the rules ^^

The drama i can think about comparing to is Person Who Gives Happiness(Daily Drama). Ofcourse the situation is alittle different since FL was the adoptive mom.
She was tricked into marry SML but it was never registered and just a plot to get the bio child back.

Anyway it ends up in a trial. Both of the bio parents are really selfish. But the judge favored them at first because they were together and willing to work things out (its partly an act btw). The judge seemed to prefer to give the child into custody who had both a mother and a father rather than just 1 parent. There was also a grandmother at home to help (the main villain though).

This is why i'm leaning towards Beom Soo and Seri having to register the marriage. Even if she abandoned at first. She could spin it with the lawyers that she regretted it and tried to make it up but the father forbid her. With all of the power that the Chairman she married, it's not hard for her to do this. Also in the eyes of the court, she is probably the more stable one cause of 2 potential parents + they have lots of money.
Beomsoo is gonna need the same stability to even the playing field and also Dongseok's help with a good lawyer.

Considering Seri saying she wants to be Hani's mom for real, it seems like they are going in this direction.
