The plot is exactly similar to Part 1. Jang Uk and Bu-Yeon are in a negotiation contract like Part 1. Jang Uk needs her to get the ice stone out of him and Bu-Yeon needs him to not be locked in Jinyowon forever. In Part 1, Jang Uk needed Mu-deok to open his gate of energy and become his Master while knowing she is Naksu. And Naksu needed Jang Uk to help her get her energy back.

I didn't expect this to have romance because it doesn't show in the Genres but was surprised when I watched it had romance. I was only watching this because of the plot.

I think I know why they did this. If "Part 1/2 or Season 1/2" are not included, some people might watch part 2 first without knowing, since they both aired in the same year. So I don't see the difference between part or season. In my opinion, it should be like this "Alchemy of Souls" as part 1 and "Alchemy of Souls Part 2: Light and Shadow" as part 2 to indicate which one should be watched first.
