I just finished six flying dragons 8/10 Today Wednesday 26th august 2026 I finished watching six flying dragons. And best believe right after the final episode ended, I burst out crying. Why does it always feel like Letting go of your child every time you finish a long saeguk? Like oh my days! the characters have already become family to you and a part of you. Anywayssss, enough of that rant, now let me give my review. First of all, the actingggg ATE! There’s this feeling you get when watching a well acted series. You feel like no other person can act the same character as well as the actor did and I feel like all the actors acted perfectly. The OSTs were sooo goodddd, especially ‘the song of chungsan’ that byun yohan sang! Omg I had to go look for it mid drama. It’s so emotional and works really well with the backstory of the series. I just wish it was inserted more at some emotional scenes because it would have made them wayyy more emotional. Next, let’s take a deep dive into the characters Jeong do jeon: I honestly felt like he was such a righteous and smart scholar until I realized his plan of not giving any power to the royal family… especially his quote of 'the title of king will just be like a prison" like make that make sense… i understand his reason behind that but still… and the fact that he never talked about this plan with yi bang won, felt so much like a betrayal. In conclusion, he was a good man, smart, righteous, but was too obsessed with being a scholar official and wanting the world to be ruled by just them. Yi bang won : he lowkey started scaring me at some point 😭 like he isn’t normal! He’s literally leaning towards being a sociopath although I understand why- because he’s gone through his fair share of traumas. The truth is, he’s not a good person but a good leader. I guess thats why he clashed a lot with sambong. He was more willing to make ‘sacrifices’ than sambong was. And the final scene where it showed him shouting at his child yi do for reading and being ‘smarter’ than the crown Prince was so heartbreaking to watch. Unfortunately… I think that the vermin ended up swallowing him. Yi seong gye: ummmmm I don’t even know what to say about our dear general. It took me a while before I decided to understand why he killed his friend. I mean to the point where I had to actually go and read why he had to do that historically. Although I still didn’t fully understand… but sure okay let’s move on. I also think He ended up fighting for goryeo mainly to get rid of the guilt he felt and then eventually he became sambong’s lackey. Not like sambong was leading him to do anything wrong, but he had no ideas of his own. He really only had the charisma to make people obey. Bun-i : this actor/character was literally always on the verge of crying😭 maybe the cold air was affecting her eyes in some way but she always looked like she wanted to cry! I honestly don’t think I have much to say about her because all her choices were understandable. Yi bang ji: my babyyyyyyyyyyy😭 the MOST wronged one out of all this seriessss! Watching his first love getting graped in front of him as a child and not being able to do anything about it! Being forced to carry a sword just so he could protect his loved ones! He truly didn’t even care about the new ‘world’ sambong was trying to establish! He just wanted to fulfill his sister and lover’s dream. We weren’t shown how he was doing at the last episode but i just hope he was out there settled down with a wife and kids. Also, I was really rooting for him and gap-bun from the beginning till the end of the series 🥲 she loved him so much and it really showed. I really wanted him to see her after she got tortured because she told sambong about the revolt to save him! But regardless, bangji truly deserves a peaceful life and happiness more than anyone in this series. Mu-hyul: Another one of my babiesssss. GOD i love muhyul!!! They really did us dirty by not putting more emotional scenes between muhyul and bangji and muhyul and bangwon😭 they literally just threw crumbs for us to gobble up and best believe i ATE the scenes UP. I also loved his relationship with his grandma and how family oriented he was! He legit just wanted a better life for his siblings and grandma. Also, His charcter development was also INSANE! The fact that almost every character told him he changed was very much needed. He CHANGED. Not for the worst, he just matured after entering the ‘real’ world. Although I was so sad because his spark was gone with the time that passed but then I was sooo happy in the last episode after seeing him so happy and with his spark back as he was telling the children his story!
All in all, I loved six flying dragons. I could’ve added some tweaks here and there if I had the chance to rewrite it. But regardless, a very good watch. I’m gonna miss my babiesssss. And I think the fear of forgetting them is what made me write this so detailed😔😩
The kings warden I’m currently bawling my eyes! Idk what is sadder the fact that this was a true story, or the fact that I had hope it would have a cliche ending and the treason would be successful. But either way this was so depressing. I don’t think I’ve cried this much for any series or movie. Eom heung do was so loyal. Nosan was too pitiful. The fact that they are buried side by side is so beautifully sad. Oh my days, this was so depressing. I can’t remember my life before watching it. This is for sure my favorite movie of all time! It’s so amazing that No one was supposed to bury nosan but eom heung do did despite much persuasion he said “To do what is right and suffer misfortune is something i welcome gladly, not fear”

I also don’t think that hwang jun hyeon (in kang yonho’s body died) like it doesn’t make sense. I feel like kjg’s husband is hiding the Him. His character suddenly changing doesn’t make sense and kyh in hjh’s body being resuscitated doesn’t make sense. Idkkk

my takeaway from this series so far -Heo min o’s wife deserves wayyyyy betterrrrrr. Girl is enduring HMO’s low self esteem, inferiority complex, inability to forget his first love, bad communication skills, child-like tantrums etc. -HMO acts and thinks like a sociopath. You’re literally nearly 80 and still thinking about the first love you had during your early 20’s -HMO’s self esteem is 6 feets under. A friend’s comment who doesn’t give a crap about you made you fall into a writing slump for the rest of your life. -Sey yun is just a babyyyyy🥹 he is so cute oh my daysss and I feel so heartbroken for him. -SY’s older sister’s behavior doesn’t even surprise me. She has her father’s genes so she’s selfish and only cares about herself
Why do people keep bashingtaejoooooo😭 maybe we all feel like we’d be smarter but we’re actually all seeing everything unfold so we’re sure of what moves to make…

With the way people were hating on the plot I don’t think they’ll be a season 2 (even though I’d watch it) I think they just wanted to remind us that trying to attain something through the wrongs means never works out.

Currently watching ep 4 hopefully something THRILLING happens😔 but genuinely I know (HOPEFULLY) it’ll get better because some of the best kdramas I’ve watched started out boring as hell (not that this is boring but I’m not hooked)
Don’t get me wrong this drama is really intriguing but a lot of people were saying it was funny particularly ep 2 and I sat there through out like 🙂😐😐 IT WASNT FUNNY😭😭 maybe I don’t laugh easily but…..
