For me the scene where Chang Yu didn’t want the kiss and slapped him was really upsetting but not in the later scenes. Maybe the drunkenness or the drug was a trigger but the point is that both the FL and the ML wanted it in that moment, and both sides continued with pleasure. They had already been in love with each other and were waiting for a suitable opportunity to consummate their marriage and the drug provided that opportunity If it had been against someone’s will then I could consider the criticisms valid

I have a different opinion about First Frost poj had more beautiful supporting characters the OST was excellent, and the story had more excitement whereas First Frost was boring for me. In my opinion one of the reasons it was watched so much was that Hidden Love was very successful and made fans very excited for First Frost as well I’m not hating on First Frost but for me POJ was definitely above it

I think it’s a matter of taste. Prisoner of Beauty had less excitement for me and I watched the series with less enthusiasm and overrated? For me a cdrama like Hidden Love was overrated but a lot of people liked it In my opinion all highrated TV series are overrated for some people

I loved the chemistry between the actors and I think ZLH and TX were perfectly cast for their characters
Even the side characters in this drama had such beautiful storylines and the actors were completely suited to their roles delivering great performances
The second and third couples are some of the best supporting couples I've seen in a Cdrama

My only issue with the series was that the pacing sped up too much in the final episodes and some past events remained a bit unclear. Still the story remained incredibly beautiful to me and it's one of the best dramas I've ever watched
