In fact, it is known that forager women were extremely strong, mobile, and physically capable — often more so than agricultural men, and patriarchy is a cultural invention, not a biological mandate.

I wouldn't. I think that true power lies in equality - or should do. But if many people accept it (today, in real life) it is because many women don't want to be in the dominant role - as long as they are well treated. Just like there are men who sit back and leave their wives to run things. However, people today do not realise that gender inequality is not 'natural' or original. Many early societies were non‑hierarchical, with shared decision‑making but inequality emerged with the development of agriculture and property. That is, the structural shift was driven by economics and power.

Agreed - to both points. ML started out strong but for the last few episodes he has been superfluous. I hope that this changes soon. And I certainly don't want to see an obedient male (any more than I would want to see an obedient female).

Yes. I was annoyed when it was discovered that she knew / had long suspected that he was fake. I would not have minded if it was just once that this happened - that is reasonable; it shows that she is not inferior to the ML - but again and again? For me, it upset the balance of the relationship between the two leads making the ML superfluous to requirements.
