Nosrebor: Have you discovered Viki Rakuten, yet? There you will find quite a few Sageuks (Korean historical dramas). A lot of the older ones from 2014 onwards are worth watching too, but one site which used to show them all has closed down. The Rookie Historian (2019) used to be on Netflix but it may have gone now. (You might like that, too.)

Not quite sure what you mean - unless you are saying that if he did help her / save her life / etc., he would earn his redemption and you don't want that (and I understand why). But from my point of view, even if he did save her in some way, he would not be deserving of any redemption. Helping someone because you love them is not an act worthy of redemption. True redemption would be if he did it for a stranger or someone that he did not care for. (But that's just me.) Anyway, my bet still stands for now.

Too true. And since I heard about his father 'outing' him in court (I have not seen the episode) he may have been referring to what his father did to him and not what his father did to the people. I shall have to edit my post.

This is why he does not tell her that 2ML's father implied that she would be the next to die. I am not saying that I agree, but that I understand why he would hide it.

Given the comment that the 2ML made to his father (human decency, etc.) , what are the odds that the 2ML will help the FL or will save her life - and die even - if / when his father tries to have her killed? Hmm. Quite high in the dramaland trope heirarchy.
