This show is so good! I had no clue about Sky and Nani. Why didn't anyone tell me?? They're chemistry is off the charts. I love seeing serious Godji and I'm lk kinda in love with blunt and drunk Jia Hao. Ep 5 went by so fast and now we wait... Sigh.
I just rewatched this after a couple of years and I enjoyed it even more this time. It's not mentioned in the series if Jade is autistic but it seems pretty obvious he is. A lot of what others call "cringe" is just him reacting in a way that is natural for him. Thankfully (and this is my fav part) he lives and works in environments where people support, encourage, and understand him. Most of the OTT or manga-style events are happening in his head (the light changes, things get blurry or pink, etc). He even dials back his enthusiasm on purpose once when talking to Bas in episode 2, so he understands that he is sometimes loud. If you watch any bts content, you'll see that he worked hard with coaches etc to show the correct emotions. It's all intentional and once you realize that, you'll watch Jade with fondness like I did.
(I'm posting this on the cut and uncut pages for the show)

I just read about the original version and... how insane am I to hope for a happy ending?? 😠Or at least make me hate someone so much that I hope they're never happy ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
It really does get better and better. I'm reading the novel now and then I plan to rewatch the series. I've never…
someone way down in the comments said there is a 2nd book called "Even Better" that focuses more on Marvis and Jamie but it's not translated into english yet
I had to leave and stopped the final ep with 10 min to go (I was almost late and it was almost worth it!). Now I'm wondering if I should just never watch the last bit and keep it going foreverrrrrr (yes I'm a little crazy about DWY and no I've never been like this for any other series)
I love Marvis and Jamie and I hope they get their own series and Jamie spends the whole time pretending he's not in love and Marvis pretends he doesn't know 🥹
I'm finally watching BoF and I'm on ep 9. Some thoughts so far: The first few episodes were truly insane and some people should have ended up in jail. Jun Pyo's hair ... whyyyyy? (appropriately called a croissant by Ga Eul's bf). It took me a few eps to get used to Jan Di's screeching so I really laughed when Jun Pyo asked "Did you boil and swallow the heart of a train?" Gu Hye Seon has the sweetest smile. It's so pretty. And it reminds me of someone but I can't quite place it yet. This 2009 drama is going to be seriously shocked when it finally learns about CONSENT. Poor Jan Di doesn't have a choice in anything, even the simplest things like how fast to walk since she's dragged everywhere. I'm really curious how that was received at the time. I'm hoping some eyebrows were raised. I wasn't sure I'd be able to make it through 25 eps, but I can't seem to look away.
Too many slow scenes with no dialogue + long pauses where people just look at each other or off into the distance. I watched most of this at 1.5 speed. Some got bumped up to 2x speed and I had to read fast, but if I missed any subtitles, I didn't mind. I did like the main leads and they have good chemistry. The second couple were very short on storyline but that didn't stop the editor and/or director from trying to stretch out their scenes the most. Does anyone know who played the bodyguard? He was decent in all scenes except the 2nd couple snoozes.
