This is more lakorn than bl series so the drama, fights, reactions etc can be over the top.
Just go with it and have fun.

I was really hoping Mon would end up with Saint. They had much more chemistry and I love a yearner. Mon and So will be together forever because that's how long it will take them to finish a conversation. Two slow talkers that pause and blink a lot and end up saying nothing... I wanted to strangle them sometimes!

Micky was a charming character. Pond was a great friend and Poon's comedic timing was on point as usual. I also loved Pond's "let me slow it down and think hard for Mon" face. He wasn't lying when he told everyone his friend was slow. Mon is a slow thinker and a slow talker. For me, the series improved greatly when Saint showed up and brought some actual drama with him.
About the final couple (in the spoiler)...

I didn't think I'd make it through this series with that laugh track, but after eps 4-5 I didn't notice is as much. Later on there is a drunk scene that explains Diao's seemingly psychotic level of disagreeableness and it made my bl heart happy. He still makes some questionable choices, but he's also trying to figure himself out. By the end, I was smiling.

I could be wrong but I think Khem's father helped from afar by making merit for Khem's mother and maybe for Khem too. He also wasn't sent for. Instead they invited the monk with more experience that had history with the area (non spoiler answer). I just don't think Khem's father had the ranking/knowledge etc to help or he would have been more help in the past.

I like the way Namping protrayed Khem. Khem is quiet, reserved, and cautious. I liked the way his reactions were always small and subtle, as if he never wants to draw attention to himself (for good reason). His eyes are very expressive and carried all of the emotion in some scenes.
Both he and Pharan were quiet characters: one stern and serious, and the other sad and scared. Both lonely.

For me, zombie shows/movies are like pizza... no such thing as a bad one. I have the lowest standards possible for them. Sadly, I have to wait til tomorrow, but I plan to be seriously entertained 🥳

There's no romance in this is there? Why do any of the bl ships matter?

Often the subtitles don't give us an accurate meaning of all the lines. A lot of nuance gets "lost in translation".

I say let the warn-ees and the warners have what you say they get from it if a trigger warning helps someone. The description here and the tags aren't specific.

Or there are people in this world that have actually gone through similar experiences and appreciate a warning so they can decide if it's something they should watch or not.

I'm currently watching this and I have to say that young Haoran absolutely breaks my heart. That stone-faced little kid going through the worst of the worst. I can only imagine how hard it is to trust any happiness after that.

So many fun discussions here about the show's plot and all my lame self can contribute is... Nut is so beautiful and gorgeous and stunning. Sigh.

Thanks for the explanation. I didn't notice how much screen time each couple got. I just enjoyed the story and more time to gaze at Pond was okay with me 😁

I just rewatched this after finally watching the original japanese version. I'm a huge fan of jbl but I actually preferred this thai version. I enjoyed the expanded supporting characters' storylines and I really appreciated how Junior toned down the insanity of Jinta's character vs. the original Tsuge character. With Junior, I only had to hard-cringe behind a pillow whenever he tried to be sneaky wearing a hat and sunglasses. With the other, I almost had to hide under my bed in embarrassment every time Asaka Kodai was on screen.

This was a decent college-set series. I've def seen far worse.
I don't understand the hate for PondEarth unless it's from weird PeterpanPond shippers. Pond's character was earnest and devoted and he played him well. I'm not a fan of super cutesy characters but I'm well aware that Earth often portrays those types, so I was prepared. He's cute and I have no problem with him playing a college student since he doesn't age. He will be adorable forever. (Except when he was the bitchy diva and the only good thing about Suntiny).
I love love love North. He is such a good friend and so open. Bas was wonderful in this role.
I really hope there is a 2nd season because I want to know more about all the hinted-at secondary (tertiary?) relationships.

The things I love about this series: all the references to SOTUS, the little noises Krist makes when he's trying to be cute, the quiet emotion Singto brings to his character, seeing Mix's amazing smile in his cameo, and wondering exactly how many heavy jackets these guys are going to show up wearing in hot-ass Thailand. The final ep was great. Too many times the end of bl series are a let down but this one made me laugh and cry, then laugh and cry again. It's not ground-breaking cinema but it is fun and cute and touching.

The synopsis for this drama was most def written by Ju Seong-hyeon's character.
That man was living in a normal bl series with a little angst and misunderstanding thrown in. He even got to be the hero at the end and we saw the usual flashback of them meeting years ago, before the other two psychos ever met Da-on.
Adding this to my favs list!

Thank you so much for info on 'ming hun'. I watched the episode thinking that Jack's loved ones all got together and decided to just go along with the wedding to help with his grief, but the 'ghost wedding' concept makes more sense. There was the moment after he was dropped off for the honeymoon when it was obvious he knew Joke was really gone (and that broke my heart). Either way, I wish an explanation of the reason for the wedding had been included. If it had, many of these negative reviews could have been avoided.
