No It's not that scary first game is about snow village story where door ghost is long hair girl eat alive players whoever breaks taboo condition. After that level of sacriness decreases...But once you start you will definitely get hooked coz the story is damn interesting. It's worth watching you should give it a try. Actually novel is more scarier but series isn't😅
