The blame rests on the demon sect not the ML. They had no right to just blame him as if it was entirely his fault and further victimising him. His only true friends were the ones he was on his peers from before and his adoptive family. Everyone else were just there for their own interests both the righteousness and demon sect. Didn't know? They knew. It's explicity discussed throughout the whole season 2 why he joined. They weren't ignorant of why he joined, they just didn't consider his reasons valid enough because it went against their teachings. But he was at the end of his rope, and put himself first. So they can put their motives first but he can't? I had no problem with him joining the demon sect because its obvious that there is really no purely evil nor good, black or white just grey areas. They all had their flaws but at least he acknowledged his shortcomings as a person and a disciple. Like seriously? What will reflecting in an ancestral hall do? Make his knees sore bit? Repentance is not the best choice if the person sees nothing wrong with their choice which he obviously didn't because he did so with a clear conscious.

No one truly took the time to apologise nor understand the trauma he was going through. Everyone was just too righteous to acknowledge their part in the aftermath. The blame was put on him, entirely. He might've taken on that demon weapon but unlike people and seniors who were far advanced in their training, he wielded his power better than others. The righteousness sect was just as morally corrupt as the demon sect. They just refused to acknowledge it.
I like Tantawan's fun loving nature and she gradually grows on you. I loved that scene where she's crying on the table. Paebii was such a spiteful character who makes decisions purely on emotion and she was willing to trigger Tantawan's trauma just to make herself feel better? Even if she didn't know, their relationship stays between the two in a romantic relationship.
I love that Tantawan had her brother. At least he provided her with a sense of calm and peace.
