Agreed!! The city is at war and you're about to kill the one person who can help...Such a dope!
Honestly, I can see why his father sees her as threat. She is able to see the big picture. I can't see why the likes of Haodu, Shuyu etc can't see that. This is a young girl who has just lost her family and the home she knows. Despite that, she is able to assist her people and fight for their survival. Sure her initial motives were selfish but she has had to grow up a lot faster than them in such a short time because of her circumstances.
It definitely hurt his pride when she said if she were to die, it wouldn't be at the hands of a mere pawn lol
I know she is kind. She is a good, honest person but in episode 13 I was a little annoyed. She didn't want to…
Haudou is softening up to her for sure and getting a mind/back bone of his own. Changge has the wits of an Emperor and the spirit of a General. I think that's what makes her so intriguing and favoured to those around her. She's able to see the big picture. Right now the thing that is fueling her is her revenge which makes up for the loneliness. When she finds her path, she will be unstoppable.
Let's be real, she has more guts than half the young men in her age group. She has certainly achieved more military efforts than Shuyu and Haodu. I can see why the elder courtiers were willingly to teach her so much despite the fact that she is a girl.
that's called character development. how boring it is if ChangGe was so self sacrificing or a push over from the…
I would be bored to death if she was self-sacrificing. If she written out like the way Mingyue was written in The Promise of Chang'an, I would've been so pissed. I like that she's coming to the realisation that her self interest is secondary to that of her people and her subjects.
I hope part of his character development is to grow a back bone because I doubt Leyan will appreciate him hunting…
I know. I appreciate that there are a few women in leadership roles for production. Changge's character development is incredible. I hope she doesnt lose too many people on her journey to find her path. Leyan is also getting the exposure to the real world and seeing the hardships of her people which will benefit her greatly. I don't ship her with Haodu. The innocent, nice girl who falls in love with the cold, hard guy is a tired trope

His father needs to know that loyalty goes along with trust. He can't claim to be loyal to Li Shimin and does underhanded schemes to lose his trust. I hope that Changge gets him in the end but I saw in the closing credits that he possibly loses his head. As for Haodu and Wuyu, I hope they learn a thing or two from their experiences. Changge really has grown up in the space of 12 episodes. I love that she is slowly learning about what it truly means to of service of your people. As the manhua mentions, you serve the people, not the Dynasty. I love that she is slowly getting to understand that through her time with Gongsun Heng.
Okay so I’m not liking this replacing the battles with anime thing they have going on since the beginning. That’s…
I feel like it's more to pay homage to the comics. It's a nice added touch to switching up the narrative by using the comics to tell the plot. It also saves time and money on casting extra actors for minor roles, Bloody Romance did the same. COVID restrictions no doubt played a role as it's much safer. My concern with the drawings is that they aren't stylistically done properly, as some of the finer details look rough
I don't understand why Haodu is hunting Changge like a rabid dog. This seems personal - why does he resent her…
I hope part of his character development is to grow a back bone because I doubt Leyan will appreciate him hunting her beloved cousin like a rabid dog. I hope he starts to see his own direction and not have to prove himself to his father just because he's a foster child.
the sexual allegations have been denied! and if he was a bully in school lets be real why should he have millions…
Delete your comment. I had trouble trying to understand it. It reeks of ignorance and it seems you're absolving him of his due consequences. Regardless if he's just an actor or running for mayor, it doesn't change the fact that his actions 10yrs ago hurt and cause traumatic experiences for victims.
Am I not used to this type of drama or is the acting a little off in the first episode? I have seen both actresses…
It does but it was the pacing for me that kinda gave it's campy feel. But I am really enjoying it so far. It will be interesting to see how the tone of the series changes in the latter half.
I do feel feel for Cha Sun Hyuk but as her fiancé, he should have drawn clear boundaries with Oh Ha Ra the minute his relationship with Eun Jo was announced. He was too much of a nice guy and now he's bound to Ha Ra forever through their child. Although, I do appreciate his sister and mother looking out for Eun Jo's brother and mother.
I wonder when Ha Joon finds out about Ga Heun's revenge plot, will it prompt him to look into his mother's past with Geum Eun Hwa. Just something doesn't sit right with me in regards to her death. Anyways, I can't wait for them to link up. As much as I want her to get her revenge, I also want her to heal along the way and Ha Jun might just help her.
