Girl, I KNOW they were supposed to be that way 😂. It’s not my first slow-paced Chinese drama. I understand the artistic choice; I just don’t understand why every sentence needs a warm-up, a head tilt, two hand movements and a full-body rehearsal before it finally comes out. The intention can be understood and still be annoying to watch.
Honestly, the acting of the two female leads is what made me drop this drama. I know the drama is intentionally slow-paced, but the way these two move their bodies, hands, and heads every time they’re about to speak is so exaggerated and annoying. It feels like they’re deliberately slowing down every movement, and it started getting on my nerves. I was struggling just to make it to episode 5, but I finally gave up. The story might be good, but I simply couldn’t tolerate the slow, overly deliberate acting from the two female leads.
