Family secrets, family ties, family bullying, really need tremendous courage and bravery to break through. There’s where we need FL’s resilience and strong willed character to breakthrough these barriers and challenged the tradition.
This drama is not an easy watch but so good. As many has commented, MDL rating is low probably because viewers here are not expecting the realism and seriousness of this story. Watch and decide for yourself whether this show is for you. I am really enjoying the leads and the parents’ portrayal, just so immersing.

The parents’ generation is also probably one that lacks listening and authoritative, so hence their parenting skills are as such. Sad to see, as pry it’s their poor management that resulted in their daughter’s death.

Interesting pairing. Zhang JingYi and Wu Lei, that will definitely be a powerful CP, and they are also both very good actors😍. But seems like Wu Lei is very selective of script. I know he has a movie with NiNi coming up soon in Sept 25 but no romance.

Yup, that part was frustrating. Our FL doesn’t have many friends, so she easily gets manipulated by people who she thought she can trust. Let’s see how they do this in the drama.;) I am quite hopeful and happy with the leads’ chemistry.

True…just like that. I am glad we have the 2 chapters of epilogue. I wonder why the author ends it this way, maybe she feels that after what they have gone through, it’s unnecessary to further explain their reunion.🤷🏻♀️

I felt the fish spirit was just a dream that only PingAn knows and probably the show trying to spin a fantasy element or to drag the ep and gave audience a closure. It also shows that in the end PingAn is willing to sacrifice for his BIL, he has changed.
