You can watch for the characters’ chemistry. The different CP here has great chemistry . I personally like Jiu Huo and JiaLan’s story as well as Zhang Zhen and Qing MuYuan’s story. But it’s also true that after one invested in their characters, quite hard to see them go even though we are prepared.

Thats the same thought I have. They saw the future and said they are going to change it, yet we didn’t really see their preparation and the future still happens as it is, so what has change? The sacrifices to stop black fox who will never die.

Actually if based on his story, he and JiaLan was in their mountain not creating any trouble, till the Beast kingdom, demon king captured him and caused death of JiaLan which resulted in the birth of black fox because of her resentment. So it’s a cyclic problem of karma. They are indeed a tragic couple.

Ep 29 and 30, we see the angsty plot is beginning.

This drama just have a lots of classic XianXia tropes, like misunderstandings, obstacles and revenge with angst. But some said the ending is happy. So at least if we see their sufferings are temporary😅.

I see the next mortal arc, this drama has investigation story. And FL can fight.. This drama really attempt to have a lot of elements from XianXia and WuXia.🤣😅.

Yes, both brothers have to continue their tribulations in mortal world. JinXiu kept his memory and Kunlun didnt as you see he was forced by Lu Yao to drink the memory lost soup.
Lu Jiu is so adorable, always end up blaming himself, I feel sad for him.
