This plot has great potential however I can see that it tries to intensified a few plot points but for short on…
1.Very obviously LR and SRQ’s CP. Although we see how LR and PWX’s CP built up for the second arc. This screenplay also tried to emphasize on the relationship between LR and SRQ, even till the end showing how she will struggle to let him go. 2.Trying to make SRQ more grey and get viewers’ sympathy about him and attempt to give him a redemption arc between him and the leads. 3.PWX is the most saint character among both arc. 4.I can see why LC had gone crazy based on his encounter in first arc, however based on the relationship set up between him and LR seen here in second arc, I somehow felt not convince for me to believe he will choose to poison LR in first arc. 5.Character growth for LR is inconsistent. I love both ZJM and ZLH acting here, however the characters’ growth can be smoother, I couldn’t understand her sudden strong reaction esp after the cave scene. Her trust in SRQ and self surviving instinct can be played down more, since she has already gain so much wisdom from past ep and she should have grown right? 6.I like Qin Zhen Zhen and ShangGuan Ya. The CP between SGY and SRH is quite enjoyable to watch. 7.Lastly most important, I am really impressed by both ZJM and ZLH acting, they done their roles so well.

So in second arc ending, we knew LR is a change person and LC experiences is different too, he still takes over…
The only explanation is that LC takes charge for three years and passed the throne to LR, so it’s LR’s responsibility to change the dynasty. So I guess we trust her to make the right decision with PWX’s support. But I will still be eager to see how she can do it.

Hahahha…after watching 40ep., I felt this ultimate underlying core struggle wasn’t resolve or maybe I missed it completely. lol!
Till the end LR as a character is not really my most likeable FL, in this show I preferred Qin Zhen Zhen or ShangGuan Ya. But Zhao Jin Mai done a fantastic job here that makes me at least don’t dislike LR. lol!
I am glad they don’t have to force an explanation why the leads time travel back but just left it as PWX said to LR, “if this is a dream, it’s such a good one that we shall stay here forever and don’t wake up.”
Ep37., even the confrontation between LR and LC, LR is focus on her own life where LC is willing to be killed by her if she wishes to. LR’s character has always been strong in self preservation.
Can’t help but wanted to comment that at ep 36, when Shangguan Ya told her father that she needs a man, his facial expression changes a few times so drastically 🤣.
