JBR seems to do more movies, or I knew him through movies. He seems to have little work on dramas. Hopefully this piece will give him more opportunity. Recently I watched his detective drama on ‘A league of Nobleman’ pairing with Song Wei Long. JBR acts well in that role too!

A lot of emotion expressions are through silence, facial expression, eyes and simple gesture. Such a pure innocent love, started young and yet endure time, even as adult, it’s still feel like a pure first love.

The enduring love is similar. Persuasion has an underlying societal expectation theme, hence the FL in the novel was persuaded to dropped the marriage. This drama portrays more of youth’s insecurity and fixation. If both ML and FL were not similar in their values and fixation of their first love, they would have moved on. I feel in their youth time when GX told LC never to break up, they both keep up to their promise; they were just disconnected but still love each other deeply. Love how JBR and TSY expresses the subtle ness in their expression.

Yes agreed! Especially first few ep., how they look at each other, the awkwardness, the yearning and angst - all shown in subtle expression. Very impressive acting!
