Interesting theory…we shall see.

Yeah so little time and still got so much yet unanswered. JiuEr’s illness, her regaining energy only from HZ; her father’s death; MuYan’s disappearance, MY’s involvement with the cases; the Qi-Qian issue; qi-Qian’s relationship.

This is a light hearted Rom-com with interesting element of mystery and background political agenda between a two races. The shape shifting concept, one race more superior than the other because of magical element are all very refreshing and interesting to me. The fight scenes are nicely choreographed with minimum use of effect. The pacing are good so far except the love development of ML and FL seems a bit of the drag. There are sad moments. To me both ML and FL and many casting here are eye candy however not the typical ‘big star’ profile, but they represented their roles well. My only comment is that the FL is matured and witty but yet at times she seems to have to act cute that is too cringy for me. I do wish they focus a bit more on MuYan and linking how the small mystery were link to his disappearance.

My take so far, for viewers who pop in at this point. This is worth my time definitely.

Totally like your summary, esp on FL. Wish she doesn’t have to always act cute unnecessary, she can speak in non baby voice, sounds better suited here.

I know what you mean. Initially when I watched, I felt bad for poor HZ. Then I understand that FL’s character ark is that she is totally oblivious and clueless when it is about romantic relationship. She always have Lao Hu to gave her tips. So I conclude why she acted that way to ML. Hence she is also clueless about WenJun liking her. My take.

HZ may want to but JiuEr may not want to go and I don’t think he is the type that will force her.
I am still wondering what happen to MuYan’s story.

Ah…that’s so true. HZ lost his childhood friend and no mention of his grieving.
Totally agreed that it feels draggy here and wondering what’s the point that the script going so far, neglecting the background story.
