Rollercoaster Ride

The rhythm and narrative are very clear, you can get into it in the first episode, the second episode is liberating, and the third episode starts the detective line. And with this kind of historical background, there are too many preconceived factors and you may be afraid that the filming will be too stiff, but they blended it so well... then then the subsequent episodes are a breathtaking journey

I initially started DNAD as a fan of Chen Zheyuan's acting and didn't think it would turn out so well (I'm not used to writing reviews so I'll write with some special characters, mistakes will be seen with a forgiving eye)

Shirke: This character's ending was less brutal than I wanted it to be, by the time this character ended I wanted him to regret his actions, in his regret I wanted him to live his life in hell because death is kind of liberation.
What he did as an agent of NBIS I think is a bit out of his profession. His aim was to end his enmity with the people of Shanghai as a whole the hatred he had for them. Was he somehow hating all of Shanghai for his wife's death here?
this character was so obsessed with ending Shanghai that he would not leave any despicable act behind. To achieve the goal, even the closest people have been thrown into the pit and the easy death of this despicable man disappointed me, along with his partner, Tails Xiao Yun. Wasn't the death of them supposed to be brutal?

Xu Wei: XW's character was fragile from the start he had never been so determined as a brotherhood, as a husband. In the first episode, when Lin Shaobai went to talk to Maosen to stop them from killing the communists that night, XW could not trust Shaobai's ability and instead shot communist then this moment his character was cleared.
He had the chance to turn back from the start but he didn't, he was influenced by the power.
Considering all of his bad deeds I thought his death was harsh but his death was heroic in that he finally realized his beliefs, at that moment "if it wasn't for him" it might not have been possible for Shaobai or Jin Yan. And this character is the one I pitied the most at the last moment.

Jin Maocheng: The weight of the word "FATHER" can be understood by looking at this character. All the bad deeds he did were to protect his daughter he did everything.
as Jin Yan said "he can't sleep peacefully everytime worried and scared" Although his character is not good but he is undoubtedly a good father. And maybe his death was necessary for his bad deeds, but I kept a faint hope that their family could be reunited(!)

Jin Yan: Jin Yan's appearance was elegant from the beginning but when she came back and saw that her father was no longer, her pressing pain was a absolutely challenge to hold back tears and then the pain in her and Shaobai's eyes in the car afterwards I believe this moment has a separate fanbase it would have been nicer if she hadn't ended up lying in a hospital bed And when Shaobai was coming back after seeing her Shaobai was crying, it could be? (sad!)

Lin Shaobai: the more we say the less it will be for our young master Lin Shaobai. this Lin Shaobai character was very difficult to portray, it was cunning, funny, playful at the same time which 2x spices of DNAD. Lin Shaobai's arrival on screen seemed to steal the show with his acting charm and I'm so proud that Chen Zheyuan played this role which is at the top of his acting range at this point in time.
his eye contact with XW when he is trapped by the Hook Sword Gang, his portrayal of emotions when he secretly go to sees XW, "Shanghai is my home, I'm a loser" or in countless scenes you can see the weight of this character. And in the last scene when he says
"Although I was a policeman in the past, I am now a public security officer. I have belief in my heart. "belief" is the truth that you are willing to give up everything for it is because you will feel that anything you do for it is worth it. Even if a gun is pointed at your head and a knife is placed on your neck, you will persist without hesitation. This is belief even if I die my heart is always bright"
At this moment, his pride and respect, love for people, and patriotism were all balanced by "Lin Shaobai". If I exaggerate, "Everything was a blur for me at that moment because he was the main character"
Heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Chen Zheyuan for introducing me to one such Lin Shaobai character. I'll miss LSB sm.

Lu Zhengyang: Sometimes I was very angry at him, because took a lot of time for him to grasp Lin Shaobai's many perspectives, apart from being a public policeman, he won things like "Father's Merit" "Superior" or "Disciple" "brotherhood".

also some other characters amazed me in it
Xiaoman, Huzi, Yaohong. what happened to huzi haunted me all night, his smiling face, giving out candy just a TRAUMA in drama like that always has to sacrifice the dearest, "HuZi" was in it. a tones of love for this boy.

And lastly it was a great rollercoaster ride.
