bad actress in romantic scenes they said! I read many comments specifically say she's cold and have no different…
mann i wish i could have a legit answer to these questions as well! bcz i was jst as confused as you! like dont get me wrong i am loving the chemistryy, but some things dont make sense to me, but heres what i understood. -for one, i guess they broke up bcz he was going abroad, and they both wanted to focus on their own studies then commit to a long distance rls. -secondly, she was playing hard to get mostly bcz she was angry, he didn't tell her or let her know that he came to china, so she thought she got played and the break up was for nothing, -i think they get back together at arounddd, episode 16 or 17!!
Nah, he was completely crazy in the novel too. Like a lost puppy, stuck in his own jealous world without any sympathy…
oh man i totally get you! but i def think you gotta give''lighter and princess'' a try, the FL cares for the ML so much! no stupid jealousy or the ML having no personality other then liking the FL, its a very cute drama!

later on in the story her coldness and stoic personality is explained as a result of her mother's death, after her passing she became apathetic to the point she couldn't even cry. And as someone who is watching the drama, almost about to finish it, she builds a wall around herself when she's with new people and doesn't emotionally involve herself with them, but with people she is close with, she jokes around, smiles and laugh, including after she got together with the ML.
moreover, for me personally? i see the love on her face and in her eyes. The birthday gift she set up for him, the heartfelt comments she wrote to him about the grabbing the last rose on earth for him, the letter after their break up where she said she would always love him, and before dating, when she challenged that guy to race her so he would apologize to the ML for bad mouthing him, i can go on but yeah.
shes not outright or very ''loud'' with her love for him, but its definitely there with her smiles and when she teases him. ^^ <3
oh goshh ep 19!! his birthday scene? they took my HEARTTT they're so adorable all giggly and smiley omfg πππππππππππππππππ
''i believe love should make you strong'' ''if there was only one rose in the world,i would rush forward and grab it for you, even if i was aged 80 and in a wheelchair'' AHH XU ZHI THE WOMAN THAT YOU AREEEE
lmfao they keep getting cuter as the eps go onn AHHH the way she went in for the kiss in ep 10?!? SCREW THE RAINN. Their little banters filled w/ subtle flirting is EVERYTHING to me
How much do Chinese doramas differ from Korean and Japanese ones? I have only watched Chinese films.
for cdramas, the stories are new, complex and fun in an engaging way. I kdramas, especially the recents ones, all have the same storyline or similar tropes, the acting is also exaggerated many times but thats jst me, u won't find that with cdramas. The humour is also relativity better and easy to get,but thats also jst me. and while cdramas are longers eps, they have a shorter running time. Like a cdrama can have 30 eps where each run for 30/40 mins while kdramas have 16 episodes but each run for an hour or more. i haven't watched many jdramas, but for the romance ones, cdrama and jdramas are kinda the same? in terms of like the quirky characters and interesting dynamics. but i think you should watch one and decide for yourself! for romance some really good ones are -lighter and princess -the first frost -hidden love if you want a really REALLY good one that's centered around life and youth ''northward'' is it and ''when i fly towards you'' too! if you want thriller and mystery ''reset'' is a masterpiece with only 15 eps! i recommend ppl to watch ''derailment'' a lot if they want subtle romance with mystery and thrill but it can be a hit or miss for most.
although I appreciate they make some changes - they cut some annoying part of Xuzhi roommate- 2nd cp have better…
exactly!! whenever i hate a drama i drop it silently, spreading hate is weird, especially directing ALL of it towards the fl? not even the character but the ACTRESS? so immature. and you jst spoke my mind, someone fire the production scenes, so many scenes are very awfully shot, that some of the leads encounters end up looking awkward. and thank you for telling me!! thats sad to hear, and! im not seeing any irl interviews of the cp as well!! like what happened to that! tencent/wetv is handling the entire thing so awfully
People might think Iβm some hardcore fan or whatever, but honestly, Iβve only watched one of her projects.…
THISSSS! direction exists for a reason!! the director was present there, sure her job as an actress is to act her part, but as a rookie actress who hasn't acted in a romance centric DRAMA before, its the directors job to direct her as needed. tell her where shes lacking, and guide her towards what shes missing. and even though derailment wasn't a romance heavy story, i felt like love b/w the leads course through my veins (a bit dramatic i apologize lol), despite no outright kiss scenes, the hugs, the longing looks, the HAND HOLDINGGG, the amount of trust they had for each other? everything was perfect.she managed to do that in a drama where romance was not the main point, how come the same can't be said for a romance centric drama? the directing and shooting crew is at blame clearly.
Yeah rightly or wrongly she has become a bit of lighting rod for blame in this drama. If this comment section…
i cannot imagine what the comments on weibo must be like!! people are heartless, they always need a person to vent their anger on for not enjoying a drama. I frankly don't understand why it has to be on an actor. Whenever i dont like an actor's acting i drop the show and be done with it, i don't understand the point of writing so many hate comments for them.
Yoooβ¦ yeah, honestly, blame the directors. They hold way more power than Liu Haocun. The hate sheβs getting…
honestly!! LHC seems like a very mature and smart person to me, no way she would've picked up such a physical intimacy demanding role and script on her own, shame on her agency for picking such a drama for her when she hasn't acted in a pure romance drama before.
i agree with you so much on the chemistry part!!! everyone's idea of a chemistry is different! in only 3 episodes in, i need more time for the chemistry to sink in, but i am liking the show so far!

but i think you should watch one and decide for yourself!
for romance some really good ones are
-lighter and princess -the first frost
-hidden love
if you want a really REALLY good one that's centered around life and youth ''northward'' is it and ''when i fly towards you'' too!
