Surely is the first 2. As his Master when the identity of LLH was Li Xianyi and as close friend when he was LLH :) But, no matter what, is a must to watch, easily the best series for 2023 - for me anyway and I have to say that mr Cheng Yi is born to act on ancient time series

I really did not see it as a Bromance at all, it just did not give me the vibe.

I totally agree with you, none of the 3 male protagonists deserves her. One is trying to blackmail her to stay with him, the other is trying to make her pity about him and the third just abandoned her although he had feelings for her. Life is not about an anguished or an unfulfilling either a forced love, is about taking choices that leads you to the path that you want and not the path that others want for you.

I would love to see that series fully developed and not on short episodes. I really like the main couple :)

One of the best series I watched on 2023, it has everything, humor, romance, mystery, friendship, kudos to all actors, I really loved Song Ra (she was brilliant!) and the 2 male protagonists, each one from their perspective role. I had fun with the Head Eunuch and the Head Lady of Court (lovely figures)

I totally agree, besides 'shallow waters run deep'. I also think that ZYL and MY are finally showing their true colors by bringing down their enemies who are of course the Hua Family, so it is really the time for our heroine to strike back, we will see. Personally I will be very much pleased to see those 2 get what they really deserve and sure they deserve each other

I have to comment again on the series, this is an excellent dark and gothic drama with great costumes and scenery apart of course from the acting, I really loved all the actors and I am fond of the "bad brothers" and the spy girls and all the other and last but not least of mr Zang Ling Xe - he is great! Kudos again for the production, the acting, the scenario and the captivating music.

well I just began to see this series and of course like it so far, it is intense and dark but it has also some moments full of humor, kudos to the 'sister' of Ziyu, she is, so far, perfect in her acting, she is flirting but she is loyal and that'is admiring. Of course the main leads are doing a great job too and I am glad that I see two familiar actors from the LBFAD, they are compatible (now that Dongfang is out of the picture anyway LOL) Well done series team, in front and behind the screen.

I have seen the protagonists in other series too and they are very good together. Usually I do not watch modern Chinese series but this one is very good, not exceptional in scenario but very good in producing, scenes, acting and directing I think. Well sometimes I get confused because I'am from what you call "Western World" by the ethics but I realize and, of course, accept that every civilization has its own ways, customs and ethics. Congratulations to the series team, there is some serious work done and I appreciate it.

I think the success of a story really depends on 3 things 1) the plot itself 2) the director and 3) the actors and the whole crew, without setting one first from the other, just numerated. I have seen mr Hu in LBFAD and he was great there too. I would love to see him in a role that he actually lives (lol)

A truly loving series, all the actors were excellent and yes me too I would like to see a 2nd season with the Emperor as main lead but I would like also to see more of the life of the beloved couple.

Destined I think is a very good drama with strong women and excellent casting

Actually he was very good also in Love Between Fairy and Devil

for me this year so far at least, for historical romantic dramas are two without putting one first except from the date they played and these are Destined and the The Legend of Zhuohua as for wuxia so far is Mystery Lotus Casebook and The Ingenious One and for xianxia Back from the Brink and Till the end of the Moon
