A Female-Driven Twist on the Tang Dynasty Mystery Formula
I loved this drama — it’s a real gem with a compelling detective narrative. It reminds me of Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty, but with a more prominent and intelligent female lead. Like in Miss Truth, she plays a key role in leading investigations and solving cases. The story is structured around four distinct cases, each solved collaboratively by a team of well-developed characters: the crown prince, Li Xinghe; Chu Qi, an investigator from the Court of Judicial Review; and Zhang Xiaomeng, a skilled coroner. Each character brings their unique expertise to the table, making the mystery-solving all the more engaging.
