Refreshing and Addictive: A Memorable Political Intrigue
I really enjoyed this drama. Despite all the controversy surrounding it, I found that a lot of the criticism was misplaced. There are no explicit adult scenes, and the performances and romantic moments are handled tastefully and respectfully, with clear consideration for the female lead's age during filming. I wasn't personally concerned going in, but I feel it's worth mentioning because the drama received a lot of backlash for that reason alone.
As for the drama itself, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. It became something I looked forward to watching every day, and every episode seemed to fly by. I was completely absorbed in the story and found myself losing track of time while watching. There were a few moments that felt a bit melodramatic for my taste, and the first episode has some slower scenes as it establishes the premise and introduces the characters. However, neither of these things lasted long enough to affect my overall enjoyment.
What really stood out was how refreshing the story felt. It avoids the familiar formulas and overused plot lines that so many dramas fall back on, so I was never quite sure what would happen next. That sense of uncertainty kept me invested from one episode to the next. The constant twists kept me on edge, and more than once I found myself completely shocked by the direction the story took. I became so invested that some characters genuinely frustrated me, while others had me tearing up. By the end, I had completely fallen in love with the leads, who left a lasting impression. From loyalty to grounded devotion and meaningful love, I'll be thinking about this drama for a long time.
