I think if they DIDN'T cut out so much it would have been impossible to watch. Some things are a bit strange but it's still manageable, and at least it won't get slow and boring halfway through like most romcoms, No stupid misunderstandings and a minimum of unnecessary breakups.
There is something there, a chemistry, but doramas don't always follow through. It's flexible: you can enjoy shipping or look at it as having no romance.

Most have been short lately. Not entirely sure which one you think were 16 episodes. Most are 12 now.
But the 12 episode ones usually have very long episode, over an hour. This is the first one I've seen with less than 12 episodes AND it's only 50 minutes each. I'm used to Jdramas and Cdramas so this is more like my watching habits.
