There is a sh.t fight transpiring where supposed Arab persons are insulted re a depiction of an Arab Prince. They…
If you like a traditional Korean rom com (the usual tropes), and one that is truly hilarious, you will love this.
I went into it thinking it probably wouldn't be that great as I wasn't that interested from the trailer, but it's turned out to be one of my all-time favorite rom coms.
Chemistry between the two leads is off the charts, the banter between them is beautifully written, the supporting characters are interesting, it's well-written, and it's an incredibly fun watch.
π I watched a Junho video on YouTube this week where he was at home, and got out of bed in the morning shirtless.…
ππππ I made the mistake of watching one Junho video at the beginning of the week. Now every time I go to YouTube, there are 10 more of the bloody things showing up in my "Recommended" list. I'm having to physically pry my fingers off my mouse so I don't watch them. πππ
I just saw that Korean media outlets have started spreading the word around Junho possibly starring in a forthcoming…
Not sure what to think of this one? I read the first 10 chapters of Cashero but thought it was boring so dropped it. It s an unusual take on the superhero theme (guy gets stronger the more cash he has in his pocket), so it can probably be turned into a cool drama with the right screenwriter.(?)
Junho would be good in the part but, IMO, it will depend on how good the script is as to whether it's a watchable or a dropable.
King the Land, aren't you going to beat the king in the Red Sleeve? I mean, I'm talking about the legendary bathtub…
π I watched a Junho video on YouTube this week where he was at home, and got out of bed in the morning shirtless. The video was from one of those variety shows that are always on Korean TV, and it was hilarious to hear the comments of the hosts -- men and women -- the women drooling over his chest and practically orgasming on the spot, and the men looking ashamed of their own chubby bodies. πππ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwIhaqnMTQo
Ro-woon is a more interesting character than the stiff male lead. I wonder how long that noona will play "hard-to-get"
I can't figure that one out, because she was obviously interested in him from the beginning, but then continues to give him the cold shoulder half the time. Unless there is some kind of backstory we don't know about yet? And yeah, he's cute, but no, Gu Won is the real deal. π
Not watching this drama, saw on the news and checked this comment section. βIβm throwing my olive oil down…
You talking about me, love? Because, hey, wouldn't it be great if you did even rudimentary research before you started spouting your ignorant garbage.
A) I'm not Austrian and B) why would I clog my drains with sub-standard Saudi Arabian olive oil? It went in the garbage where it belongs.
And btw, why is it every time an Arab comes on here and opens their mouth, they think the nasty things they say will benefit them? At this point, there isn't a non-Arab K-drama fan that would piss on any of you if you were on fire.
And don't bother replying, as I won't be, as who has time to waste a second of their life on yet another rude Arab too "proud" to appropriately interact with those of us who are obviously better brought up than them.
They are also still attacking the actor who played Samir. Thousands of comments every hour threatening him not…
No offense taken. π I discovered the oil when I was at a friend's house a couple of years ago and he used it. I've always used Spanish or Italian olive oil before that as that is what's easiest to find in Vienna, but I liked the taste.
Plus it is sold at a store that has big sales a few times a year so it is cheap for a high quality olive oil if you stock up thenπ.
My next bottle though will be back to my Spanish usual.

Gotta admit I checked the label of my favorite olive oil this morning. Made in Saudi Arabia. Nah won't be buying that one again and I'm not even the boycott type π.
The phone call scene was already edited on TVing, but who knows what else is coming.
YouTube deletes copyrighted videos though so they don't stay up for long. I downloaded them and have them on my computer and on an external hard drive. Will also upload them to my cloud storage when I have time. Arabs apparently don't understand once something is on the Internet it exists forever. π

Somebody yesterday mentioned downloading the episodes from one of the dodgy sites which I then did this morning. That way you can still watch the original episodes before the editing ruins them.
JTBC just made an enormous mistake. They have "apologized" for the scenes featuring Samir. The result? Already…
It's the "woke" ideology in action. "We don't like what you say, so we're going to destroy it".
Interestingly though, I doubt the same people pushing the King the Land boycott will like it when what their country produces gets boycotted too, because another group is "offended".
And it will, because it always does.
Because they never seem to think, "If we do this, when the people on the other side disagree with us, they will do the same".
Will be interesting when the next boycott of some Arab thing occurs, and it will.
Wonder if the people who pushed the King the Land craziness will for a second remember the old adage "What goes around comes around"?

Yep. It's social media 101. And it's why you will very RARELY see an American company apologize, as they know it's a fast slide down to hell once they do. South Korean companies have a lot to learn about social media trolls.

It's disgusting and must be so disappointing to the writer, the director and the actors. The drama is fabulous, but because a group of trolls on social media are "offended", JTBC jumps through hoops to placate them.
Newsflash, these people will never be placated. Their "outrage" will go on and on and on.
Makes me want to avoid All Things Arab from now on though, as who wants to be involved with that kind of lunacy.

They do not have the right to destroy something most of the rest of the world that watched it/read it/bought it loves because THEY were "offended".
