drama is good, in fact it is much better than I expected. My problem is that scene when SHM is looking for "signal" under her bad and everywhere in her house:)
I think many ppl didnt like that ep when they wore those costumes in order to approach the russian business man. In fact, that ep is pure parody, the chinese perspective about actual relation between the 3 big powers of the world. They chose Barbie story and vampires one from all american movies for a reason. None of the 2 scenarios were good, so they chose the 3 one, when they introduced to russian family the chinese culture. Even that Steve looks like an idiot in that ep for a reason, his char is written so much diff for the rest of the story
HCC plot...about it I wrote somewhere in a comm today, it is very realistic
I simply love the story, the way it was written (so many good lines, powerful), loved directing and cinematography, acting (Lusi's char is so complex and she nailed every side/tone of char...babygirl grew up, and her acting skills grew as well), loved their chemistry which I felt it natural in the second part of drama (those little gestures between them, the way he keeps her elbow, share the same bottle of water, the way she rubs her face on his etc) , and loved how they dosed it in the first part. The morning after scene is pure gold
Now I have to rewatch it on viki with subs in my native language, I'm sure I missed some details

it's ended, now we stay with eyes on yunhe charts, waiting to break 50 mil/ep

she couldnt continue to work in the same company due to obvious reasons. She tried to be a streamer, but that job was a miss
that business arc is her redemption, starting free from the past. In fact she's doing what she did before as a planner, using her connections to attract investors, planning activities etc
that family Chun plot is also about XY and Haoming situation before reconciliation. I think it was well written, both of them shared their feeling talking with pp in their situation.
In every drama there are side chars with a not important story line. I dont sense why MIL friends need a closure when they havent a real story line
XY and her family relation cant be repaired. A total reconciliation wouldnt make sense. The fact XY surpassed her childhood trauma was enough imo
Her heart health problems were solved with treatment, her grandma took care of her, it is said in drama

XY and QL had very nice outfits in an ep, dont remember exactly in which one, when they talk in front of their Studio (Lusi has a brown costume). Also the dress the russian's wife bought is gorgeous

HCC lived the entire life as Shen family youngest son, raised by Haoming parents in their home. He is definitely aa kid who had a big trauma. In rl live, such a kid cant leave his environment, the daily routine, it will stop his healing. XY and SHM treat the boy like their own son, their willing to raise him as their son is shown in drama several times. But kid needs time, this is a long term healing process, it should be approached step by step.
About HCC plot. It's also a sad reality, see the life of illegitimate sons in costume dramas (hundreds years ago) and the actual reality. Looks like nothing changed: being divorced is still considered an issue by rich families, having an illegitimate kid is also very bad. This is the reason SHM parents pretended HCC is their son, also is the main conflict SHM had with his father, one of the reasons he couldnt get a seat in adm council of his father's business. why, girl:) I dont get to watch documentaries about chinese traditions, chinese culture. Presented this way, in a drama, it's easier to get infos. Same thing happened with Be Myself, Gen Z and The Story of Pearl Girl. Learned lot of things and all were interesting.
