Just Finished Ashes to Crown…
finished Ashes to Crown and honestly… what a ride 😭the mystery, revenge, political intrigue, the cases… everything kept me hooked. i really liked how the story doesn’t rely too heavily on romance and actually gives the plot room to breathe.
and Chen Duling as Chu Zhao??? she fits this role SO well. calm, smart, capable, and you can really feel the character’s strength without her having to overdo it. her chemistry with the ML is also really good 👀
the whole drama has this mysterious atmosphere that makes you keep wondering what’s actually going on. plus the visuals and costumes are gorgeous.
no spoilers, but if you like cdramas with a smart FL, mystery, revenge, court/political intrigue and a good romance on the side, give Ashes to Crown a try.
definitely one of those dramas where you watch one more episode and suddenly it’s 3am 😭
