Please don't drop. Everything will be explained slowly. Also, it wasn't 100% grape. And LuQing showed affection later on in this episode and it seems like he felt bad for doing it. They were both in kind of love even before this happened. And XiaoFan wasn't completely out of his mind. It wasn't fully consensual, but you can't call it a grape either. At any case, their relationship will not have any grape scenes ever again. From now on things will be different in a good way. They have both different love languages and different backgrounds. It will take time for them to officially announce that they are together as a couple but that's how hard it was back in the 90s.

So, According to the novel, Phat ends up witnessing Kaye altering from the innocent personality to the killer personality. And when he understands that his very good friend is the killer, he can't send him to prison. He is the only one who has witnessed Kaye at his lowest and he knows that if his innocent personality ends up in prison he will not make it. May baby loves him so much awwww. So someway he manages to send him to a hospital instead of a prison. But he will stay there probably... forever... According to the novel Phat stays by his side forever cause he loves him a lot (like a brother). Kaye ends up in a mental health hospital and Phat is the only person who knows his soft, innocent side and cares about him. But sadly the alter ego wants to kill Phat too cause of what his dad did. But what i guess is that he doesn't kill him cause he's in the hospital.

I don't want to believe it either. But the official novel adaptation ends the way I mentioned 😢 I hope they change the ending of the series but the chances are really low. It's take same director as in the Leap Day. He enjoys dramatic endings😭

The story can be understood without the need of additional explanations. However, the average viewers don't know a thing about the 90s and also can't understand how it is to have a love language different from a simple "i love you". Maybe the audience is too immature and that's why you need explanations etc. I am into bl and queer films and series for decades, I belong to the community and I am old enough to remember the 90s for gays... so dofficult times. Maybe the series is made for people like me who have been there back in the days and have felt as the characters.

MY BABY KAYE IS THE K1LLER 😭😭😭😭 And there are multiple hints since episode 1 that his mind is split in two pieces. And as the creators said, the whole show is shown by the perspective of Phat who trully believes that Kaye is innocent. That's why all the clues we get always make us think that he is innocent. I'm crying cause I really hoped this wounded boy had a chance to live a better life. However, in the very end he keeps suffering in a mental hospital.😭 What did you do to me Dew???? I fell in love with Kaye only to see him suffering forever? (Bonus there is a hint that Kaye waits for Phat to fully trust him and then his alter ego wants to k1ll him too).... What a pain. Beautiful series but i cant take this suffering. I am crying rn

Thanks a lot. I'm doing my best cause this series has a very meaningful story and two characters with deep wounds that I can feel and understand a lot. I am new in mdl but i have been watching BL and queer series and movies for decades.
