Watch it again with good subtitles.
I think that if you watch each episode slowly and get your time to pay attention to all the details you will understand more about the story and the characters❤️

In episode 1 you see XiaoFan figuring out about the pregnancy. (Also, she lost the child in later episodes and XiaoFan took care of her but she pushed him away).

Well, first of all the two families shared an old agreement from when the characters were young, providing a formal hook to bring Xiaofan into the household. Secondly, Lu Xiaofan was chosen over his siblings because he was the most submissive, timid, and easily manipulated child in his family. The Bei family explicitly bypassed his brother due to deliberate calculating choices made by both the Beis and Xiaofan’s own biological parents. The Bei family’s primary goal was to find a live-in husband who would stay quiet about the daughter’s out-of-wedlock pregnancy. The father wanted someone who would behave, never make trouble, and accept an inherently humiliating arrangement without fighting back. Xiaofan's brother, Xiaoping, was loud, greedy, arrogant, and prone to reckless financial behavior. Giving someone that volatile a foothold in an elite, powerful Beijing household would have invited an immediate blackmail risk and endless public scandals. Also, within the impoverished Lu family, Xiaofan was heavily neglected, isolated, and treated as the least valuable sibling. So they basically sold their own child to the Bei family. His parents fiercely favored his brother and wanted to keep him close. They willingly sacrificed and "sold" the gentle Xiaofan to the wealthy family for a payout, knowing they could still manipulate his naive nature later on to extract more money.

I think she wished they didn't have the same mother cause their mother was an abusive b1tch. But if the case is that she has fallen in love with LuQing... well.. honestly I dontblame her he is HOT 🔥 and the step siblings romance is often in chinese novels too.

Gurls, Is it worth watching?
Absolutely yes. Don't listen to haters. The acting is amazing, the chemistry pretty hot, and the story really good. Also the setting and the visual are beautiful. Just watch with official subtitles to make sure you understand everything. Both male leads have deep personal stories and traumas that many audience members don't get and thus they hate the show....🙄

I love it!!! I'm on ep 5. The chemistry between the tea farmer and the celebrity is awesome☺️ I have to take…
It isn't boring. The slow scenes are actually so interesting that you don't want them to end. The only issue is that if you're in a difficult period of your life and you can't take sadness and painful plots... maybe you should skip this series till the right time comes for you to watch. It is very beautiful. I can't deny that. But it also very raw (not in the NC way ...) .

Did he compare FanFan to a cell phone and say that if he throws the phone away again, he’ll throw him away too?
This cell phone was his way to communicate with him when he wasn't around. If he throws it way it means that they will not be in contact and thus what's the point of him being there

It's a 10/10 but you need a brain and a heart to understand the depth of each character.
It is character analysis, not a spoiler.
