High School Dairy
Someone call the Tooth Fairy, cuz this was so effing sweet and cute, I got a tooth ache. I don't know, give the cast cotton candy and clouds as a reward, cuz it was so fluffy. Like I found myself grinning and aww-ing so much that my cheeks hurt. Also, Shane's deadbeat parents legit named their second born, Name. They didn't even bother... lmao.Listen, this is the first time I didn't cringe at a cast acting cute or adorable. It came so naturally to them, and also they weren't university students with adult jobs trying to act cute. Yikes, I still remember that one drama a couple of months ago and the cringe and all that stupid arse sound effects. Dear bl creators more of this fluff please. Anyway, here's my quick review.
Shane and Kit
So different in personality and yet they worked. Shane worried a lot, was negative, always so serous, but I liked how mature he was. I understood, coming from the home he did, being pessimistic came with those set of parents. Love Kit as well, how we met him as his chill dude, who was not serious about everything, to him actually growing. Shane's seriousness and Kit's playfulness and openness countered each other very well. Loved them a lot.
Kim and Mon
Mon always looked like someone stole his lunch, but I know he meant well, and when he does smile awww. I wasn't a fan of how Kim kept having to always to change himself to try and make Mon happy, but then it all worked out when they communicated. Also when Kim smiles, ahhhhh adorableness overload. I play they buy a house and a dog away from that mother of Mon, homegirl tripping sometimes. I also love this pair a lot, Kim's puppy love, free spirit and Mon's angsty self works very well together. Also in the finale when they were poking each other and going 'Mon loves Kim' and 'Kim loves Mon.' ahhhhh cuteness overload. Should I start doing this to people? Nah, can't go around poking people, right? Still, so damn cutee!
Per and Tar
These two, these two, children, please date each other. The way I kept going, get together, do it now every episode. And that kiss to shut him up, which... ahhh, I felt bad for Per when Tar just straight up downplayed it, but I get it, emotions are scary. I loved their friendship a lot, always being there for each other, and how they just stuck together. Loved them too, and in the finale when he gave him the rose while he was busy sticking on his own markers. LMAO. Also why are Per and Tar like the young version of teachers Nut and Tan?
Nut and Tan
Even the teachers were adorable in this drama. Tan and his clumsy awkward self made me love him a lot. I was very happy when they started dating. Tan's craziness, and over the top reactions and Nut's chill attitude and honesty worked well together. Their housewarming party was so heartwarming.
Look, what am trying to say with all this is that, this is the first time I basically loved every main character on a show. Hate Shane's parents, Mon's mother when she was being all take could take a hike, and the other extra characters didn't really leave any impression, but the 8 main characters did, and I really enjoyed everything they gave me.
All in all, Thank you khun director for a sweet show about growing up. I highly recommend this to all bl lovers, it's fun, easy, bit emotional and very heartwarming. Your time won't be wasted. I look forward to seeing all four pairs in their next works.

If Only We Could Slap People Through The Screen!
This is the type of nonsense they talked about in the bible, cuz bruh, dafug is this? WHY? I thought we decided to be serious this year? The person who green-lit this...whatever the hell this was... needs to be booed in public. Just WHY?For once, me and my rubber chicken are legit out of words to describe this train wreck. Processed at your own peril.
Just WHY?

IF Y'ALL DON'T SET ALREADY!!
It's such a shame these two had visual chemistry, but the romantic chemistry of a pineapple, cuz every time their lips touched it felt like someone rubbing two sandpapers together. And why the eff, was this so painfully LONG? At one point I wanted to jump into the screen and threw a goddamn sunflower at them and yell, 'Here, here's your stupid happy ending, now shut the eff up and set already, I am tired!'Listen, this drama felt unnecessarily long! The plot dragged, was all over the place, chasing its tail like a headless chicken, and the characters were as interesting as chalk. Really, that gl couple... just give it a rest, and the second bl cp bored me pass. That bottom was so annoying, and that top felt too loud whenever he was on screen. He was literally standing there, filling space and I still felt like he was yelling at me. What is you, Bob?
The main couple were just... they were nice to look at. In the beginning of the series, they even felt compatible and watchable, but after this snooze-fest dragged on for a hundrend and three years, whenever they were on screen, I did that face. You know that one where you don't even have the strength to judge their existence. Like, why you look so good together and have the chemistry of a long division? Literally, they were kissing and I was wondering if one of them was toothless. Imma need directors to stop casting people based on their visuals cuz this was painful to watch. And the kisses looked so dried. Dude brought out blindfolds and I was like...wow, I have better chemistry with my landlord, and I owe that dude money, so I never make eye contact.
The plot. Frankly, it seemed like they had ten plots and twenty uninteresting characters, and each of them felt equally as boring and unnecessary. The parents in this drama sucked. That wife was so dense it was borderline ridiculous, why you so dumb, Sharon? Like who the hell won't even investigate an accusation like that? And why the eff that teacher was still at the school? And that whole stupid arse plan to bring him to justice, first with that ridiculous attempt with Ice and his 'oh, no, look at me I am definitely hiding a camera' plan, and then the one where they decided to live stream it instead of, I don't know, have the police literally on standby in the next room. Like, was everyone on that show taking stupid pills, cuz that father was just standing there watching instead of I don't know, call the effing cops, heck drive to your son you noob! In hindsight, with the characters combined IQ of a potato, I shouldn't have expected much.
I don't know, that drama within the drama they shot felt like an interesting story, show me that one instead, this one was draggy, boring and could have been shorten to eight episodes. Heck, three episodes in and I was wondering if all the characters were necessary and why I should care about them. Spoiler alert, I didn't. And the thing was, they had a powerful main plot that could have been done very well, connect with viewers emotionally and leave an impact, instead we got whatever mess this was that wasted my time and electricity.
Meh. If you like any of the cast, give it a go, your favs so you might enjoyed it. I felt it was draggy, and could have been better. Hopefully, their next work is an improvement from this snooze-fest.
Happy New Year.

C-Eent Just Played With Our Emotions.
Oh sad endings, how I wish I can throw rocks at you. In Hindsight I should have prepared my tissues for this ending when it said Chinese bl instead of Taiwanese. For shame, did we really think it would have passed censorship if it wasn't made to crush our happy-ending expecting hearts into tiny pieces?Listen, this drama broke my heart three times. The first was when they wheeled Shi Wen's body out the ICU and Shen Nan broke down in the hallway while trying to left the sheet off Shi Wen's body to confirm his death. The second was when Shi Wen did the okay sign while he laid dying in Shen Nan's arms. And the third was when Shen Nan's world stopped for a second in the finale when he heard those tires screeched, when he breathed in relief that the accident didn't happen, and yet he choose not to turn back and walked away. #Pain. #Tears. For some reason I wept in episode 5, got triggered with old memories and when Shen Nan left Shi Wen on that bridge, I found myself feeling so sad I couldn't help but cry. Ruined my whole Saturday. Of course, to make myself feel better I went and re-watched episode 4 of Every You, Every Me, you know, so I can keep the sadness going the rest of the day... when in hell, keep going, amirite?
Anyway, yes, this drama wasn't perfect, as a matter of fact it had so many holes we could probably make a basket out of it. But I enjoyed it, sad ending and all. Plus it seemed it's more a hopeful ending than a sad one. The quantum necklace which seemed to be turning back the time and causing all those anomalies deactivated/blackened out in the finale when Shi Wen's fate changed and he wasn't hit by that big track. So I'm thinking it means their ill-fate life has ended? Which of course meant, my stupid arse was screaming, alright 'turn back now, rush to him, you can be together now', but nope... no happy ending here cuz this is still a Chinese bl.
I do have so many questions when it comes to the science behind this, cuz a lot of things were left unexplained or made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Like:
1) Was the first time we meet them their first life together, or was that the second timeline?
2) Where did that quantum necklace come from?
3) Did the 'fate/quantum' people appeared to Shen Nan using his face or was that a Shen Nan from the far future?
4) When Shen Nan's father locked him in that motel and took away his phone, did he even leave him food? I'm still wondering about that cuz I didn't see any ramen or snacks around.
5) I was so SHOCKED when we got that my lips touching/glazing your cheeks scene, and then the hand between our mouths kiss. SHOCKED. I thought we were going to get far away glances like... The Untamed (that one still hurts)... but we got something. It was practically nothing, heck it was so nothing it was non-existent, but, it was something.
6) How in the hell did he still have that camera from their first/second timeline? At first I thought it was himself from timeline 2 putting everything in a box, but then he later appeared and throw it away as himself in timeline 3? I'm confusion. Did the camera also time travelled with them or we just suppose to go along with the flow?
7) That scene during the award ceremony after Shi Wen got hit in the head with the lights and died was ridiculous! Not one person made a call to ambulance or rushed to help/check on him. Everyone just ran away, even the friends and the organisers? Huh? I get they wanted them to be alone, but that was so far from reality I stopped being sad for a moment to go, 'huh, dafug is everyone at?' Cuz, huh??? Stupid. Just dumb.
#7) "Is it really worth it to protect someone with all your strength?" to which Shen Nan replied. "Yes." I was screaming 'dude don't turn back, that's the whole point of this you stupid-head' when he turned back to get that cup of coffee in the finale, but in that last scene of this drama, I was screaming, "please, please, turn back just one more time." But dude must not have been away of the title of this drama, cuz his arse choose a sad ending instead.
The cast did good with this, given how little time they had. The main were good and had good chemistry. Shi Wen's friends as supporting cast were also good, and that friend who liked Shi Wen for like half an episode made me laugh a bit, so good. Those parents though, glad they came around in the end and then disappeared from sight, cuz I was about to reach into the screen and start slapping people with my rubber chicken.
As for the plot. I loved the concept. Time travel with a side of a love so doom nothing can save it. Unfortunately, although it had a good cast, the script wasn't strong and the execution was a mess. It had lots of things that were never explained properly, and most of it was left to the viewer to fill in the blank, which, my brain did not do, so I ended up with more questions than answers. Sure they had only 6 episodes so they couldn't get into the whole quantum necklace thing, but I'd have loved some explanation, any, of how Shen Nan came to have this necklace and could turn back time.
All-in-all a good watch. Not the greatest, but it was good. Also, I'm taking this as a win towards us maybe-perhaps-finally having an actual bl from c-ent. If you're looking to feel sad and or out of new dramas and looking for something to watch, I'd recommend this to you. I hope to see the main in another drama, loved them here and in Meet You at The Blossom.

My Boring Blood
Vampire show so boring and bland the only power the vampire had was taking off his cloths and showing us his underwear. Seriously, what the hell was this? And did they even do anything vampire-esque on this show? Even with the fighting, those vampires were at best doing cardio and yoga poses. Let me explain:This show was so boring it came to a point where I put it on whenever I couldn't sleep, and it was the best sleeping pill ever. Literally, the main couple were so bland, unless you had a telescope it was impossible to find their chemistry. The two missionary nc scenes they had was meh. Like, making a tub nc with roses look so dull must be a new achievement. Mark the vampire kept taking his cloths off at random and tried to heal someone who had a metal rod stuck in their chest. Boy why? just dumb. Tong the 'Golden Blood' made just the stupidest and most annoying decisions, and he kept doing whatever the hell he was doing with his mouth and eyebrows. No, but real talk, was that whole face thing supposed to make Tong look demure and soft? What the hell was that? That happy ending was truly undeserving. Also, how much does a shaver cost?
And the bad guys. LMAO, talk about generic. The first bad guy get's find out and dude went to sit by some river on his garden chair and just waited for his enemies to find him. And when they did, he became one of the good guys who immediately died a worthless dead, talking about going to be with his love one when this whole drama he hadn't mentioned them once. Like why is you lying about having someone? Also, the big final bad guy was so meh, literally her powers didn't even work, cuz homegirl saw none of that coming for her. Why was anyone afraid of her when her predictions were as useful as the weather forecast?
HAHAHAHHAHAAHAAAAHAHA. I was laughing throughout that finale. That final showdown was ridiculous, all that big deal about drinking the special golden blood, and all Mark did after drinking it is walk in there, pushed two guards aside and got stabbed by Thara. Literally if it wasn't for that one bad guy who died that useless death, Mark would have died too. And after all that a kiss woke up Tong, and this dude was like, 'oh woe is me, I am dying, if only, if only I was immortal like you, hhhmmm.' Of which Mark replied. 'Oh wait, I can grant you that, but are you sure?' And my arse just rolling my eyes like, 'my friend my friend my friend, stop with the theatrics, either die or just become a vampire and let us have some peace. Damn Susan.'
No but this whole show was a giant disappointment. I was expecting some vampire effects and magic, but all we got was some yoga fighting poses, that window scene that had me laughing off my sofa, sniffing stuff and licking blood, some little speed here and there when they remember this is supposed to be a vampire show, Mark biting Tong's lips one time, that black and white effect with flowers, and... well that was about it.
Seriously, it's not by force to do a vampire show if you don't have the budget or a decent plot for that matter. I was so hyped for this, but it ended up just so meh. The plot could have been interesting but it was all over the place, and the acting was nothing to write home about, either, what a waste. Like I am still laughing at that scene when Tongkla died. Dude took 1-2 business days dying, and the all powerful healer vampire tried to heal him with that metal still stuck in his chest. Like, child why? Also, this production managed to make Neo dull. Neo! How? Dude have so much aura he is loud just by appearing on screen and blinking, and they managed to make him bland and dull. Yikes.
I do hope Joss and Gawin get cast for something better in the future, and get to work with a director who can utilize their talent, and they actually take time to develop it and not give us another half-arsed drama like this one. I love their dynamic so I'd like to see more of them, but this was seriously not it.
All-in-all, it wasn't the best but we've had worse, so if you are a fan of these two give it a chance you might enjoy it more than I did.

Taishin Is A Blubber Mouth Bumpkin
Okay, so like, we are ignoring that Taishin is a stalker right? Good. Cuz, he’s like the worse stalker ever. Homeboy walked up to the guy he’s stalking and went ‘...eh... I came to this school because of you… do you wanna go hiking senpei?’ LOL, he’s a naive, adorable blubber mouth and I love him.The plot of this show is nothing to write home about. Nothing really does happens, the episodes are short, and pretty much most people will find it super boring and meh. I did at first too, but this show grew on me. At first I was a bit annoyed and was like, come on son, no one your age is that naive. No really, Taishin’s so innocent it’s pitiful. But then he got me with his constant 'Eh and adorable-ness-ness.' Cuz how could I stay annoyed at a guy who’s best friend is a parrot, his idea for the perfect first date is Bird watching, and his favorite food is pudding. HAHAH WHAT?? PUDDING and BIRD WATCHING? Even his interests are bland. But he’s what he is and I accept him.
Taishin comes off as a village bumpkin who’s seeing traffic light for the first time. He came to the big city with a goal: getting closer to Takara, and he’s made it his whole personality. I respect that, but like, does he even pay attention in class? Lol, homeboy with his doe-eyes looks like he doesn’t know what’s happening half of the time, and he’s just here to fill space and breathe air. Though, even with how smitten he is with Takara, I'm happy he's bold and brave enough to speak his mind when he needs too. Which gives him more colour as a character.
I’m sure many people will found his naivety annoying, as well as how constantly he puts himself down, because he’s put Takara on a pedestal and borderline worshiping him. Normally, I would nitpick at it with a microscope, but I found I’m enjoying the un-heaviness of the whole show that I don’t mind it. And the two leads have good chemistry as well, which makes it even more entertaining to watch. They didn't need any over the top sexual stuff to make the watcher feel their chemistry, which was refreshing to see.
Plot wise there’s nothing much happening. Basically, the story is about Taishin who uprooted his whole life and moved to the city to go to the same school on a chance he could meet the guy he met on the mountain one time. Sure it isn’t as stalkish as that one bl character who collected the trash of his crush, but this is also a form of stalking. But Taishin did his with those doe-eyes and blurted it out so fast that it doesn’t really count. I doubt it would hold up in court :)
Oh and in-between Taishin trying to get closer to Takara, we see the man himself playing with some marbles and remembering his mother who doesn’t like marbles? and thinks he sucks, so he's dealing with that and trying to move on from her. So yeah, not much happening. But I did enjoy the journey of seeing Takara come to like Taishin to the point he felt possessive and jealous. I liked seeing him struggling to not turn out like his mother, and having Taishi reassured him that he'd tell him whenever he does something he doesn't like. They communicate in their relationship, instead of following the pattern of over-done misunderstanding trope, which again made me enjoy the show.
I like Takara. His personality is to look as nonchalant as a cucumber, still he’s there for Taishin, which is a green flag in my book. He’s not mean about Taishin’s cluelessness and is patient with him.
I'm not gonna write an in-depth of what I liked/ didn't like about this drama. After the first two episode, I decided to watch it for enjoyment purpose only, and just went along for the drive. So if you want some in-depth reviews, other reviewers on here have done that quite well, so check them out. This one is just me gushing over Taishin.
So yeah, if you’re looking for something deep, my brother go look elsewhere. This show is good for rewinding after all the heavy currently airing bls. It’s light, with a simple plot. And except for the two lead characters, all the supporting cast are like background props, but still, I’m enjoying myself watching it.
There's a spinoff apparently, so I'm looking forward to seeing these two again, cuz these episodes were not enough. I wanna see how their relationship developed after they both admitted their feelings for each other. Would there be more pudding and bird watching dates? I'm excited.
Anyway, I love leads that blurts out whatever they are thinking, whether embarrassing or not, therefore causing no misunderstand and our Taishin has no filter whatsoever, and I love that loser for it.
I’ll recommend this to anyone who is looking for an easy watch and something to unwind and not think too much. Give it a chance if you have time, it's cute. This is definitely going on my list of guilty pleasure dramas.

IF I SPEAK...
AAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEiiiiiiiii.... Mhm! Let me keep quiet and go sit my somewhere. As for this one, let the production team and their ancestors review it. Cuz if I speak... why are they speeding through the plot like they in a race with Usain Bolt? Don't even get me started on the chemistry. Anyway, it was something. Was this review helpful to you?

Hey, You, Stop, I'm Not The Problem Here.
I must be doing this whole Poor thing wrong, cuz why Min out here complaining about being dirt poor, but homeboy have two mansions, expensive looking fashion clothes, and went to kidnap someone and got himself a super rich boyfriend? If that was being poor, then may this level of poorness locate me, please. Also, the moment Min zoomed into the picture of Q, I went... 'Peoples, we've lost a brother, his arse ain't gonna kidnap nobody, he looking for a husband.' Min was the worse kidnapper ever. He sucked. Mfer was a glorified babysitter.Listen, the premise of this show was interesting, a handsome boy who looks like a 90s heartthrob Hollywood star, goes to kidnap someone and ends up falling in love. You know, typical case of Stockholm syndrome, but like the bl edition. I was sold, cuz Ohm is a good actor, and him and Leng seemed to have a good chemistry. So tell me why, halfway through the series, my bored arse was ready for it to be over?
And don't even get me started on that cringy Mary Jane and Spider-man scene. Was it cute, probably, but I was cheesing the whole time. One thing about that scene though, it made me realised one of Min's mansion was like in the middle of water or something, or was it a pool. Damn, to be so richly poor must be be hard.
In all honesty, this series should have been 8 episodes long at most. Even so, it should have ended at episode 11, cuz it was slow paced and dragged on. Half of what happened could have been cut and we'd still would have had enough to make the same show.
CHARACTERS
First off, that one man in the credit opening scene, who apparently was the one who hired them to kidnap Q. That man was in the drama for like two episodes, at best he was like an extra, so why the eff was he in the opening? I was so confused.
Anyway, Yes, MinQ had good chemistry, and they gave the best they could with the script they were given. The acting was good, though gonna be honest, in some crying scenes with Q, I went, 'Dude is you crying, laughing or sniffing glue?' Lol, but other than that, good acting and chemistry. Mhen was a good character as well, really liked him and looking forward to his new series with Mark. As for the secondary characters, they didn't have enough to stand out. I'm still wondering how that one friend went from working on movie sets to knowing people looking for a hitman.
Also, I just watched Q's father in that drama where he was cheating on his wife with her son, so whenever he was on the screen being a policeman, my brain automatic went, 'shouldn't you put yourself in jail' lol, but yeah, as a father to Q he sucked in the beginning, but towards the end he did change, which was good, I guess. Though, seeing how the woman he kept putting in jail always came back like a boomerang, what was the point of him putting Q's life in danger for?
VILLIANS:
The bad guys in this show were like Houdini, they disappeared most of the show, then bam, they back doing some stuff. Like that woman was in and out of jail so many times, she might as well have made it her vacation home. And also what the hell was happening with episode 11 stand-off scene? This woman had a gun in her hand, instead she just pointed it real hard at Q's dad, doing nothing until Min showed up, not even from behind her, but in front, to kick it out of her hand?? WHAT EVEN? And after all that, Min got shot in the stomach, and that director want me to believe it was just a glaze that left no scars?? LITERALLY, what even are we doing here?
The end to that big bad villian was laughable: What even happened? They sent her to jail, then suddenly she is out with a vague reason, and then some random person shot her dead?? Listen, if the son of that one man was going to get revenge, we needed to see something. This woman is the big bad, so her demise should at least make some sort of sense, but it all felt so rushed and flat, it became irrelevant. They made space for Q's dad glancing at his uniform, but couldn't let us such an important part of the plot.
Finale:
Damn, they really threw everything but the kitchen sink into that finale huh? And the episode seemed to go on forever, I doze off like more than four times, and had to rewind. Still, nothing interesting really happened though, no follow up on that random dude who shot the big villain. This drama should have ended way before it did. As it is now, it just drags with not much interesting stuff going on.
Anyway, as their first series, Ohmleng did well, The script could have been waay better than it was, but personally, I think the premise of the plot was interesting, except the production team did not execute it to its full potential and ended up given us a somewhat boring, convoluted show that let many of us rather underwhelmed.
I'll still recommend this to everyone, it's good for a one time watch. I am looking forward to Ohm and Leng's next drama, hopefully, they get a script worthy of their capabilities.

Perfume Boy
I sure would have love to see them hold a wedding, that wedding toast would have stole the show. Scent would be like, 'Remember when we first met, and I burned down your village and tried to steal your sweat for a profit?' and Gaysorn would go. 'Remember that one time your uncle and dad tortued my mother, and then they shoved my dad down the stairs and your uncle murdered my mother? hahhaha, good times'. Lol. Anyway, this drama was beautiful, but it was so painfully predicatable.I always wonder, at what point does love start not being enough? Because here, after everything Gaysorn ended up with Scent. How is that relationship going to survive? Sure, they didn't do any of the original hurt, that's karma between Scent's family and Gaysorn's parents. Still, are the two so in-love, they'd never talk about it? Would Scent say sorry whenever Gaysorn remember his parents, cuz, at some point, the elefant in the room would be mentioned.
Anyway, as said, this drama was predictable, beautiful, but predication. You'd think a murder plot would be interesting, but after the finale, I was like, oh, it's over. The whole time, I thought the dude was dead and dreaming in a sunflower field, but apparently he grew that much in those two camera panes so... But yeah, concept was interesting, but the whole thing felt underwhelming. Frankly, I was expecting more of a fantasy vibe from the concept instead of a murder case and Scent stealing sweat.
And I say it's beautiful, cuz that flower boy was perfectly cast, some scenes with the butterflies and flowers and scent were enchanting, and that perfume maker paired well with him as always. Nice concept, it's just, except for the boy smelling like the inside of a flower shop, everything else that happened wasn't new. Typical plot of boy starts off with ill intentions, falls in love, get's caught, regrets, cry for the camera a little bit, and then bam, love conquers all, and they are back together. Meh.
Take the murder plot. Like, oh no, who killed that woman who smells like perfume? It couldn't possible be the perfume company that had a perfume with her namesake, could it? It was? waaah what a surprise. Narrowing it down, who else but that creepy uncle pressuring Scent to steal his boyfriend's scent and told him about the secret Mudan people could have done it? So, so, painfully, predictable to the point of boring and stupid.
I wish it was deeper... more. The history of the Mudan people sounded so interesting, if only the story would have stayed on them, but instead, they burned their village and shoved us back into the city... which was as interesting as it sounds. Would have loved to see him stay there and see more customs like with the wedding.
As always PearlPeak were perfectly casted for this, though the story isn't anything new, they still managed to bring their characters to life. The side characters were okay, though, what was up with those two random dudes who pretended to kiss in the end? Literally what was the point of them? Sure, they helped him, but these people pretty much didn't add anything to the story as far as I could tell. Oh well.
The father and uncle deserved what happened to them. That uncle was so manipulative, he was this close to ending poor Gaysorn's bloodline. And to think Gaysorn made himself marry into that family. Good luck buddy. And are you telling me, if Scent could easily bland flowers and grass together to make Gaysorn's scent, his uncle and dad, two experts, couldn't smell their way to the scent they wanted like he did? Right. Okay.
Anyway, a nice watch for any bl lovers, give it a chance if you have time. Looking forward to more PearlPeak, hopefully with something far better, cuz I am still on a Love in the Moonlight high.

The Ignorance We Lived In.
I'm sorry, but, who let Chu Tae Jeong become a cop? Dude was just cruising through the whole time. Like, did he himself even believe he was a cop? He was so naive to the point of stupidity. Also, who drew that eye scar/injury? It kept moving from the side to the center every scene. And what the eff was that meh ending?Anyway, they tried. It was a interesting concept, it just, as it is with most of these dramas, the execution felt flat. Also, what lie did these two people lived in? Dude already knew he was an imposter like 2 episodes in, and he also knew he was a cop. So at this point, weren't they pretending and just living in ignorance? Well, whatever. Here's my quick review.
Basically, we have a contract killer who loves to paint mountains. But although he looks the part of the killer, dude got caught, and did he take out the threat? Nope, they had sexy times, he trained him so he could better protect himself, then when sh!t hit the fan, he packed his bags for him, gave him all the evidence to incriminate himself and sent him off on his merry way. The whole time I was like... but... aren't you supposed to... you okay with life in prison? huh?
Then we have the cop. Listen, was whatever town Chu Tae Jeong was from short on recruits? Cuz aint no effing way he made it all the way to the final selection. Like, see for yourself:
1. He couldn't tell Seo I Do was an imposter. (Dude's been friends with the real one for years)
2. Didn't find that Amnesia-ish trope suspicious at all. (There was so many things he got wrong, then he came back and did some checking, found proof and did... nothing. Call backup? Nope, not him.)
3. Found his kidnap friend tied to a creepy basement with weapons, and dude didn't question why there was such a place. Then of course, he proceeded to not turn it in, cuz the friend said they shouldn't. Then helped said friend tied up his summer fling. Like??? What even are we doing at this point?
4. Found out his new crush is a killer, and dude proceeded to have sexy times with him, cuz you know, love and whatnot.
5. That whole thing with the friend and almost getting burnt alive for it.
6. Dude was there to clear his father, an ex-cop's name, and the whole time he did not do one bit of investigating on the matter. He remembered like one old scene, saw a notebook. Looked sad for the camera one time, and that was it, but somehow, he still ended up with the evidence he wanted. Dude didn't even try... must have been how he became a cop too... convenience.
6. Also, him coming back to the house after Seo I Do sent him off without any back-up. Like???
7. And how the eff did they wrap up that ending??? There were dead bodies everywhere, and all we got were some vague answers, and then he quit but apparently could have been promoted. Promoted for what? What he do? He didn't report anything for days, and he's a man of the badge, who kept all of that to himself, so he could get it on with a killer. I was shock they didn't jail his naive arse.
That basement friend sucked. That dude who took Seo I Do in and trained him, lmao, was he in love with him? Oh well, now he's dead and probably they pinned all the murders on him. That would teach him for falling for killers who paint.
Plot-wise, they tried. I did find the beginning so very interesting, the leads had good chemistry, but after Chu Tae Jeong kept making all those dude decisions and being naive... I gave up on him. This dude, instead of being a cop based on decisions was one based on emotion. Frankly, I'm surprised he made it to the beach in the finale. As for Seo I Do, he turned into a poppy real quick. Big bad killer curved the moment that cop entered the house, and even lost an eye to protect him.
And how the eff didn't the police find Seo I Do? How did Chu Tae Jeong found him? Dude had no police skills whatsoever, so how did he manage to find him and the cops didn't? Though, were the cops even looking for him? Cuz that ending was so messy and rushed, it was a complete letdown, I got nothing out of it, other than Chu Tae Jeong did the police department and his country a favour by quitting, cuz with him on the force, who even knows how many people would have lost their lives? That poor father of his must be turning in his grave, watching his son act the fool in the place he was murdered.
Anywho, all in all, interesting, a nice watch, something a bit different in regards to plot, give it a chance if you like bls. I'll recommend.

Reshelved
This whole drama was ridiculous. That Bagel and his bird nest hair was so annoying! Akin broke Than's heart, raised someones random baby, and annoyed the eff out of me for 10 episodes, all because his friends said he was a buffalo and not a cow. See nonsense! And after all that, that pathetic Baguette with his *I'm so in love, love defeats all* crap made me literally hate happy endings.Listen, who, and I mean whomst would just leave someone they love, and then go raise their baby in secret with their baby mama? No really, who does that? What was Kin's end game? If Than did cheat, what was he going to tell him after all those years of hiding his baby away? Like, he would have missed raising his child. Of course, that loser in love boy didn't cheat, so what of all the years they wasted? Arrrgggggggg, Akin count your days, if I catch you!
This whole drama was nonsense, reloved, how about reshelving the whole damn thing! Ain't no way it was rational Than forgave him that fast. That was pure crap! And all those years he waited, he had that one pathetic gym dude who was in love with him and he didn't want him. Dude, date him instead, no unnecessary heartache. Side note though, damn, that gym dude was just sad to look like, during the wedding when he was giving that speech, I was like, dude, just move on... do like Elsa and let it the eff go. Seriously, you in love with a dude who's been ghosted for years but is still in love with his ex, you are literally not missing out, move on.
I did not care one bit for the first couple. Than was a sweetheart, but just a fool, all cuz he was in love with a guy he hit with a basketball one time. Their story was repetitive and the Bagel got on my nerves with every decision he made. That Baguette was so pathetic being in love that he gave me a headache, cuz after all that pain, dude went on and on about how much he loves Akin and how they'd even find each other no matter what direction their relationship would have gone... how about you spend time working instead and trying to save your gym huh? No wonder it went under.
No, I was not happy they ended up together. There needed to be more healing and work than killing off a character and immediately solving all those years of trauma with that pathetic excuse. With how much they dragged it on, it needed more work, what we got was nonsense cuz Akin's whole excuse for not trusting that smitten boy who looked at him like he hang the stars was to blame it on his friends. LIKE??? He didn't even take some of the blame, he found an excuse and talked himself around it. ARRRRRRGGGGGG. And of course, Than was like 'awwwww, love love love, yes love.' Thunder fire you!
The Main Couple
It's sad you can't physically throw things at characters on your screen. Akin was just the worse. Who the eff does that? Dude was so insufferable! Than forgiving him right away made me so effing mad. And after they found out the baby wasn't even his baby, dude was like 'hihi, it's my friends fault, they said I wasn't a mixed cow.' Don't know what Akin's problem was, Than was so in love with him, yet he was so insecure and fed on misunderstandings. The way he felt like he was doing something nobel by helping to raised that random baby that wasn't even his boyfriends! ARRRRGGGGGGG. Nah, I needed him to suffer and beg, and at least call himself stupid once. Meh
The Second couple.
Yeah, imma be that one guy and say it. I did not care for the second couple, as a matter of fact, I found their chemistry very dry, awkward and all that nc scenes meh. Both were obnoxious and the characters could have literally been replaced by a houseplant and it wouldn't have made a goddamn different to the main drama cuz:
The main story is over here at ABC, and theirs is over there at 123. Literally where was the correlation? Dafug do I care that, that one guy the Bagel works with is eff buddies with a client? No really, what's that had to do with the main plot? Like if you removed their storyline, it won't effect the main story whatsoever. Literally the only useful thing was perhaps that, that one dude up and randomly died so the mains could be like life is too short...but like really, any random person could have kicked the bucket and they'd have learned the same lesson, so, again, houseplant. Then again, without them filling in screentime, the whole drama would have been Akin annoying me for an hour every week, so perhaps, it's a win for me then.
And all that crying and remembering, like did I miss something? They were at best eff buddies, went on like one random date to a park or zoo or something, and then one got angry, then bam he's dead, and suddenly they making their affair seem like it was this great love... even having his ghost show up at the wedding with tears and the whole time I'm just eyeing them like...y'all doing too much, you were eff buddies and went on one date, give it a rest, Bob.
Plot wise, this whole thing could have been done better, it dragged, in the finale it seemed like they even ran out of plot and just had random people speaking at the wedding. The story could have been done better, the way they resolved all the problem was a huge miss for me. Killing off that dude and wasting screen time on all that crying was not it.
As for the extra characters, some were just there. The workers were loud and frankly, I still don't know what the point of them was. Not gonna lie, I kept watching this drama cuz I was waiting to see what would happen when we find out if the baby was his or not. I waited, and then, nothing really happened, mfkers went 'hihi misunderstanding' and then got married after some long distance nonsense.
This could have been a very interesting plot, unfortunately, they didn't seem to have enough materials to focus on the main plot, so they threw in a second couple, who didn't grab my interest, and the whole thing just sort of became an annoying mix.
I'm certain others might enjoy this more than I did, I've heard and seen people being happy for the second couple's story line, so give it a watch, perhaps you might like it. Me, imma reshelve the whole thing.

Fated To Annoy You
One night stands. Forced weddings. Pastors who serve coffees and ballet dancers who can afford long distance phone calls. An unexpected baby is about to stir things up and none of these people are safe! This drama started off well, but by the end of it, I was like: 'Seriously, who wrote this? is this really where we are heading?'
Since this drama has wasted enough of my time, I’m just going to write a small review and move on with my day.
This drama was on point, when it started, I enjoyed the heck out of it. Already in the beginning, some random guy walks into a commercial set and takes it over, and I’m already in love with him.
Yes, the plot was good. The characters were interesting, and it had my attention, but then suddenly, everything went downhill. The second male lead starts singing, and the main male lead starts looking for a tree??? Like, what in the eff was happening? Where the hell are we?? Who's driving this thing?
Basically, I had no idea what the eff was going on anymore, and at that point, I was only watching it because I’ve come this far, and dropping it would mean admitting defeat! Really, everything that happened after the baby was a no from me.
And can I ask? What the hell was up with all the randomness and the constant flashbacks? We watch a scene, and one minute later, someone is remembering it in a flashback! Eww! Enough already, we do not have the memory of a gold fish!!
What made me finally gave up on it was how all of a sudden, the loving and funny characters became obnoxious. I wanted to punch the male lead every time he did that laughter thing he had going on. What the hell was up with that? It got under my skin so much I ended up not liking him, and he was my fav in the beginning.
The writers attempt to make the female lead strong just made her annoying, and I couldn’t stand her. The second female lead became pathetic and ridiculous, wanting someone she couldn’t have, and the second male was just a sad SOB.
Truthfully, I really wanted to love this drama, but I couldn’t, because at the end of the day it was a giant disappointment! The only good thing that came out of this drama to me is that one song: Goodbye My Love by Ailee, that's the real mvp of the series.
Would I recommend it? No, I’m saving you from hours of your life you’d never get back.
You're welcome.

Zang Hai Playing Chess While Everyone Plays Checkers
"Stay Alive." These two words just gave us an epic revenge plot, and oh mine did the revenge hurt, it hurt so good even people who blinked the wrong way got theirs. No, really, look at the casualty list:Casualties of Zang Hai's Revenge:
- Yang Zhen = Deceased
- Qu Jiao = Deceased
- Chu Huaiming = Deceased
- Zhuang Luyin = Deceased
- Cao Jiangxian = Deceased
- Zhao Bingwen = Deceased
- Emperor = Deceased
- Queen of Dongxia = Deceased
-Gao Ming = Deceased
- Zhuang Zhifu = Deceased
- Shi Yiping = Deceased
- Jiang Xiang = Deceased
- Lu Yan = Deceased
- Lu Yize = Deceased
- Lu Fen = Deceased
And this does not even include them all, these are only the ones I can remember at the time of writing this. Soldiers, servants, guards, friends, literally no one was saved on Zang Hai's road to avenge his family.
Listen, you need to watch this, even if it's just to see the main character work every job under the sun. Zang Hai went from being a young master, to an orphan, to a disciple, to mastering geomancy, to a feng shui master, to a scholar, to assistance supervisor of the imperial astronomical bureau, to becoming the imperial astronomer, worked as a coroner, to becoming Vice Minister of Work and then to working in the imperial cabinet. At one point he was even a dream interpreter, dude said the ghost of the dowager came to him on his afternoon nap. LOL. He used a crossbow during a rebellion and hit a few people off a wall, so yay to being a soldier?. Oh, and he also dabbled in kidnapping as a kid, though he fed his prisoner sweets so that don't really count. Like the man was an overachiever to the point, he even said yes to the job/honor of being buried with a dead queen. All that and dude in the finale said, sorry your emperor-ness-ness, but I quit, I'm retiring to the village. I don't blame him, dude's worked enough for a lifetime, plus his retirement includes a beautiful princess. Good for him.
First off, I would have immediately died in that tomb in episode 3. Zang Hai was out there speaking some fancy poems riddles and going 'move southwest to the fourth tile.' Where? Whomst? I can't even tell my left from my right on a good day, dafug am I to know where northeast is?'
PLOT:
Plot wise, this was amazing. I love revenge stories. Were there some things that could have been done or explained better, sure, but the overall drama was really well done, so I didn't mind them at all. Zang Hai wasn't martially strong and he relied on his smarts and that made the plot very interesting to watch. The plot of his revenge and the Gui Seal was woven together very well. Discovering who his enemies were, getting to learn about the Gui Seal and seeing how he got his revenge made for a very entertain watch. Most times I was screaming at my screen, hoping he got out of sticky situation alive, and other times was yelling at the villains for being horrible. It was a ride. Some may find the pacing slow, but to me it was perfect for a revenge plot.
And I was not disappointed about how they went about with him getting revenge, everyone got theirs, and it was amazing to see his enemies fell until he was the last one standing. The pen is mightier than the sword indeed, and Zang Hai was the embodied of this. Dude had zero martial skills but he managed to defeat his enemies by being smart and knowing how to use his words. And that's the thing, it wasn't even that his enemies couldn't tell when he was suspicious or they knew he was lying, they could, even tried to kill him for it, but he always found a way to outsmart them, which made watching this all the more exciting.
Characters:
This drama was perfectly cast. I liked those I was supposed to, and hated those I was supposed to. The main character Zang Hai was super clever and cunning, and I so love that in a character. Dude was like, when I get bored while patiently waiting for my revenge, I count the bricks in this compound, the roof tiles, and the dead bodies from my father's household. He was fast with his thinking, good at playing dumb so the enemy underestimates him, and even when they caught him, he still managed to talk himself out of dying. Like he was out there playing chess while everyone else played checkers, but they all thought he was some bumpkin carpenter who wasn't smart enough for the hunger games.
Acting wise, everyone was good, and as always Xiao Zhan brings his A game to every project. He was amazing and the perfect choice to play Zang Hai, which he did beautifully with how expressive his acting was. Antu as a female lead was good as well, I came to liked her a lot. I was so angry when his shifu 'betrayed' him and sad when he died. The two friends he had were likable as well, and even the Marquis son managed to grow-ish on me. And the villains, oh how I hated them, but that was the point, I was supposed to dislike them. So yeah, everyone did a good job with their characters.
I didn't trust anyone on this show, which thank the eff, cuz then I would have been shocked with the reveals. I always had at least two reasons why someone was the enemy. I'm happy Zang Hai survived this bloody battle for revenge, would have understood if he hadn't, but I'm glad he got to have his happy ending.
All-in-all, amazing drama, highly recommend it to all drama lovers. I can't wait to see more from Xiao Zhan and the rest of the cast in the future.

Instagram Couples & Fan Service
Kla letting his boyfriend get drugged so he can play some sort of hero and come to his rescue was the dumbest thing ever. Cake thanking him for it made me facepalm. Also, them forgiven Khing so fast was not it.Listen, I was this close to dropping this drama in the first episode, but then I kept at it, cuz my tl was dead that day, and scrolling through Netflix felt like a chore. I’m glad I didn’t drop it…I think.
Okay, like, was I the only one who went, 'OMG, they shoved Cake into the crab trap, hurry, get him out before Mr Krabs sees him and make Spongebob turn him into a krabby patty.' No? just me? arite...imma see myself out.
Anyway, the acting in this drama…on the floor. The plot, nothing special, but it entertained me while watching it. They tried to have some sort of plot in the last episode and ruin the whole thing. Up until the finale, I thought this was going to be a show of two people fallen in love, with two losers trying to stand in their way by being mean via online and sticky note.
What I liked:
I liked Kla and Cake falling for each other through the screen. I also liked Tim, he was like the voice of reason for us viewers, well until the last episode, dafug was that about given Af his number? Are they hinting at them ending up together... cuz that's wild. I also liked the fact that Kla didn't like sweets but ate them for Cake.
What I liked most about this show though was how Kla and Cake communicated in the first episodes. I liked that when Kla didn’t like that Cake was hanging out with Af who clearly had a thing for him, he mentioned it, asked him to talk to Af about it, and Cake agreed. There was no over the top jealous moment and misunderstandings, and I liked that.
Now what I didn’t like was:
I don’t understand people like Af and Khing. Like, did Af really think if he’d gone through with the motel plan, and Kla dumped Cake for it, that Cake would ran into his arms and go… ‘Af, I love you so much, even though you ruined my life and I’d probably need therapy until the day I die, let’s go eat barbecue?’ Like child, use your head. Thank the eff,he came to his senses in the last moments, I still think he needed some sort of punishment for the part he played.
Now as for Khing. First off, are people really that in love? Just cuz one time, a nice person helped you avoid humiliation in public, you fell in love with him, and proceeded to be a menace. Are some people that pathetic? She could clearly see Kla wasn’t into her one bit. Me personally, I’d have been so embarrassed to be constantly rejected, I’d have told my rich father to relocate me…the moon could not be further enough.
Honestly, she deserved to have been punished, if not jail time, some sort of youth therapy program, cuz clearly she needs help. What’s with some thai bls and glossing over things that deserves jail time and/or for characters to be put in the asylum for mental help? I remember TharneType, having a psychotic character that literally shouldn’t have been allowed into society, but they just let him ran around, and I even heard they tried to give him his own show or something… dafug?
Khing, cyber bullied, tortured and planned to have Cake gang graped by strangers, and when all was said and done, they sent her overseas? WHAT? And the friends forgiven her like almost immediately and the writers showing us that her rich father was absent in her life. How dafug was that bit of backstory supposed to make what she did okay?
Yes, everyone deserves forgiveness and a chance to become a better version of themselves, but she deserved at least therapy, and made to seek forgive in person, or something. Them forgiving her flat out, like almost immediately made me question if the people who wrote this lived in real life.
Anyway, the story in itself, when it comes to the main and second lead was cute. Them finding love, in the case of the second leads, trying to go from delulu fan-service to real couple. The second leads remained me of at least five bl partners, and whether or not they are dating, or also doing pretending fan-service ^^
The plot wasn’t much, the acting, nothing to write home about, and the final episode just had me rolling my eyes. They spent it on the side character, and Cake was gone for like almost all of it. That very last scene with the smoking means nothing to me, cuz I had no idea what was happening.
All in all, it was okay to past the time with. Watch it, if you have nothing else.

OffGun as Side-Characters In Their Own Drama
I’m so used to Thai characters having names like P’ Car Tyre and Nong’ Wheel Barrow that when Gun’s character said his name was Ryan, I choked on my wine. And don’t even get me started on Jane. Dafug you mean your name is Jane? Your people named you Janet? Come on son. Also, Ryan’s lipgloss game was on point. Dude woke up every day looking like he’s ready to be kissed. Legit, who’s lips look like that at 06:00am in the morning? And his short-shorts!! Hahaha, though, if I had those legs, I’d show ‘em off too.
Listen, did anyone else almost went ‘OMG Khai is that you?' in the finale when Jane’s character literally ghosted Ryan after his ex-boyfriend stole his idea, then proceeded to ignore him five more years? Was everyone else back in their Theory of Love days and wanting Jane to be left at the train station? No? arite, imma see myself out.
First off. I watched this drama because of OffGun and Sea. And there was not enough of OffGun in this drama!! Literally they were supporting cast in their own drama, and it made their relationship come off as super slow burn, but I think it felt that way because we legit didn’t get enough screen time for them to develop any faster. Like, they might as well have been the side-dishes in that porridge Ryan wanted to be. Such a shame, cuz this is easily my fav drama from them.
Imho I think this is one of the best dramas that came out this year. No, no, hear me out. Yes, some episodes feels like fillers and unnecessary, there wasn’t anything major happening, and they spent waaay too much time on that love triangle nonsense. Plus, we’d all seen this sort of office dramas with a a side of love-story plot, so yeah, nothing different or even remarkable about it.
BUT, I loved it so much? Cuz it was all so darn relatable! I felt the whole intern life, trying to figure out your future, and being like Ryan, having literally no life goals whatever, and just going with the flow. So yeah, in that regard, I loved the drama, the rest of it however, in honesty, was subpar.
CHARACTERS:
Ryan was the most relatable character. Ryan is my spirit animal. I love that loser so much. Homeboy had no idea what was going on most of the time and I love him for it. Mfer just wanted to put paper in the printer and nod along, and that was amazing. But although he started off wanting to be just a normal co-worker who go out after work to enjoy food and drinks, his character grew. He didn’t have any objectives and had no idea what the work was even about, but he fought. Sure, he thought about quitting, but he stuck it out and keep trying and in the end he got stronger for it. And even ended up working in that industry, successfully I might add. I was very satisfied with his character arc and growth.
What I didn’t get about him though was how he was able to wait that five years, or even in those months he was ignored. Then just take Jane's sorry arse back, all adorable with their hands reaching and unicorns and stuff…pfft, people in love. Could never be me, my arse would have been married with kids and long forgotten him in those five years. But of course, he’s in love so… nonsense reality. Oh well, they were cute though, I legit liked how their relationship developed, with all those cute moments that made me all so giddy, so good for them that they ended up together, hopefully Jane doesn’t ghost him again for another five years.
JANE
Now how Jane acts like he hates air when he’s at work, but lives like that one middle-age woman who makes a wish every time the same numbers appears on a clock? Also like, do people still use dvd players? where do you even buy those? My Muse by Jimin CD’s just arrived, and I went ‘These would make for nice bookshelf decorations’ cuz I have no idea where to play it.
Anyway, Jane almost made me go back to my Khai hating days with all the yelling and making Ryan cry that he did. But I didn’t, cuz I understood how these workplace could be, and Ryan putting himself there when he knew nothing about it couldn’t have gone any better, so yeah I understood.
But arrgggg, did I just want him to act like a grow up and just admit his feelings for Ryan. But again, I understood he’s his boss, and he couldn't just straight up admit stuff (side eyeing Judy real hard now). But then, after I gave him the benefit of the doubt, he straight up disappointed me. He didn’t even fought to get Ryan’s rightful credit for him, just went and told the ex he’s disappointed then proceeded to ignore Ryan. Then ghosted him for five years, talking about ‘I’d have come back for you if I didn’t ignore your existence and pretended you didn’t exist.’ Bish, is you allergic to planes? Couldn’t you have taking one back to wherever you went, after coming to see him?
Sure, sure I was all grinning and went, awww cute when he said he wanted black coffee with no sugar as his mood and tone, and when their hands slowly got closer, and when Ryan wanted more kisses and he was like 'enough don't be greedy for my tasteful lips,' but eff that guy, always going for the silent treatment is not cool. But, I guess, he’s a bit, just a tiny bit better than Khai, so I guess, he’s okay-ish, and I’m glad he followed his dream and became a director. So, clap for him, I guess?
Also, like, am I the only person who felt like Jo, that company owner, always gave Jane backhanded comments, which was why he was always felt like he was in his shadow? Literally, nothing he said to him in the flashback made me think, ‘Oh Jo means well, he wants him to be bolder and more assertive.’ Literally, P’Jo came off as those mentors who sniffed out talents and oppressed them cuz they afraid the student would outshine them. Then of course the writers in the finale wanted me to believe he meant well. It might just be me though, but that’s how he came off when it came to Jane. To the others, he was so encouraging and helpful to them.
Plus, at the end of the day, none of the old people stayed to work in the company… soo… But, it might just be me who perceived it that way, but yeah, stuff.
Anyway, I’m okay with Jane, but also hate his disappearing act. Mfer out there acting like Houdini every two-to-three-business days. arrrg, pick a personality air-breather!
Side- characters:
They were a good audition, in small doses, but there was entire too much time on them. Though, I wanted to know more about Pie and Pah, but I guess, they needed that time for that dragged-out love triangle no one asked for. Literally how many times did we need to see Ba-Mhee looking sadly at the camera for being ignored? Also, is it just me of somewhere in the middle it felt like the rest of the interns bonded more with each other than with Ryan? Felt like they did a lot of things without him at some point. Oh well, either way, I loved them together and how they kept their friendship years later.
PLOT
Listen, if you are going to wait until the second to last episode to give us the backstory of the main character, then why bother?
This was literally Jane throughout the series.
JANE: Me big alpha with a blowhorn, 'You, bring me the call sheet!' RYAN. You, cameraman, did I tell you, you can blink? RYAN! Your existence is a shame to the this company and your ancestors, go sit in a corner and think about wasting air. RYAAN! Arite, I'm sorry I call you a waste of space, here, let me tie your shoelaces. RYAAAN!'
COWORKERS: Damn, he's so harsh, but so confident and good at his work, cuz all the clients wants him, and we respect him but fear him.
VIEWERS: He's such a hardball, damn, that's one confident dude he's good at his work.
WRITERS: *in episode 11* actually, he's an insecure loser who can't stand that his first pitch wasn't pitched, and is secretly so insecure that he'd given up his dream and cower in the corner and live in the shadow of Jo who we have not seen direct anything once. So yeah, poor dude, he's so sad.
ME: *Bombastic side-eye* stupid.
So yeah, throughout the series , Jane was this confident dude who yelled a lot but secretly was nice, and lived like he was born in the wrong century. Then suddenly, he’s his shy, insecure loser who lost out in a pitch one time and never got over it. If you’d told me this in the beginning, and showed me this insecure side, I would have believed you, but in episode 11, it felt like they suddenly remembered he’s supposed to be the main character and gave him that plot just so he can have more screen time. It was unnecessary in my opinion and served no purpose other than to have Jane pull a Houdini and ghost Ryan like a bat-shit crazy ex.
A lot of people will find this drama boring, and I would too if I didn’t relate to it. It’s understandable, there was a lot of scenes with them actually doing their work, which many would have loved to skip or for them to gross over, but I enjoyed it, so for me, the plot was good, to get to see second-hand how the behind of this industry worked. This was the in-depth scenes I wanted to see from SunsetxVibes with their jewellry company that I didn’t get to see, so I was happy for this.
However, that LOVE-TRIANGLE, was super effing unnecessary, given how it ended! Literally what was the point of side-lining the leads to give room for those three and their boring arse story? At first, I was like, oooh, developing feelings for your mentor and are we getting a gl couple… ohhhh. I was invested, then they flat-out went the cheating way, and I was like, hell no, first of you’re a mentor and shouldn’t be doing that, second damn girl, talk to your boyfriend, sure he’s a man-child you baby but tell him you need more attention don’t cheat.
And I understand, having a boyfriend who regards you as a second thought is not fun, but cheating, was a no no. Not gonna lie though, I cheered and clapped a bit when Ba-Mhee left Tae for Judy. I was like. Arite, now that that’s over, where the doctor at? Someone call P’Mhok, let him know Day drunk the straight people juice. LMAO, yes I felt bad for Tae, when he was crying and sniffing, but deep down, I crossed my fingers for Jimmy to show up and Sea going ’Shiiii, P’Mhok, you are here. Let’s go home and eat?’ That would have been amazing. Yes, yes, I am delulu and still living in my Last Twilight high, leave me alone.
Instead, we didn’t get any of that. Judy pretended none of the blame was on her at all, Pah became too protective, good friend but annoying as eff even when he meant well, Tae mopped for a bit, decided to let Ba-Mhee go and take the blame for himself, only for them to got back together. Then dafug was all that runaround for? Wasting unnecessary screen time on them, when we could have had more Ryan and Jane.
I’m literally not surprised they were fighting again in the finale cuz of jealousy, like what did they think was gonna happen, imo trust gets lost when one person cheats in a relationship, so good luck to them and they wedding I guess. Can’t believe they got a good ending, and all we got from JaneRyan was sns messages telling us they’ve decided to move in together. meh.
All in all, I loved the series cuz I related to Ryan, but I wish there was more screen time for the leads, and it wasn't taking away by the childish love triangle that went nowhere. Would have loved to see more of Ryan and his family, how he finally decided on his dream, or how Jane got his confident back, although I still think he wasn’t lurking one to begin with. Would have loved a lot of things instead of the five year jump, but, this is what I got, and I’m sort of okay with it, since it actually concluded and didn’t leave us guessing.
So yeah, I wanna recommend this to all OffGun fans, but be aware they are more a second lead…so… I’ll recommend this to people who love office romance too, there were a lot of cute arse moments with Ryan and Jane that made me grin like an idiot. This is definitely going on my most fav dramas this year along with Unknown, My Stand-In, Meet You At The Blossom, Century of Love and 4minutes.
Anyway, don’t forget to lip-gloss like Ryan, winter is coming.
